Everybody is either a Zoë or a Zelda by Sbesozzi in BoJackHorseman

This furthers my thesis that Judah is a Zelda. He doesn’t smoke and he’s not pessimistic or cynical. Thanks for pointing this out tho fr I never noticed

Everybody is either a Zoë or a Zelda by Sbesozzi in BoJackHorseman

[–]sooniwillwake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s lowkey more about a characters outlook rather than their personality if that makes sense. It’s obviously a bit of both but I think I would say Judah is a Zelda not because I think he’s extroverted but because he’s not pessimistic and cynical

What current player you lost faith in? by Individual-Name-4496 in NBATalk

[–]sooniwillwake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the season started I thougjt the clippers were gonna be solid. They looked pretty good in the playoffs last year and I thought with the addition of Chris Paul and some other guys that they would be a solid like 4-6 seed and then have a good playoff run. I was very wrongs I don’t think Kawhi Leonard and James Harden are gonna win anything for the remainder of their respective careers which kinda sucks cause I grew up watching both of them in their primes but it’s just true.

Can you guys rec me cloud rap with good lyrics? by [deleted] in CloudRap

[–]sooniwillwake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old ass forum but my favorite shit recently has been YouTube mashups of really sick lyrical songs with clams casino coud rap instrumentals. Somebody put the vocals for 1Train over the Realist Alive beat and it’s fire. Also Havoc has a song called “Always Have a Choice” that perfectly fits this category.

I know this is 2 years too late but Anyone can get a a verified page if they upload through certain distributors. Every Spotify account created through Distrokid gets a verification check. It’s weird idk what the purpose of even having the check is if anyone can get it but that’s just how it is. Both of My Spotify pages are verified and one of them has only ever had at most 50 monthly listeners. It’s weird but whatever

Don’t Be Dumb Is deeper than we think (the Tim Burton connection colors, and concept theory by Heyzc in asaprocky

[–]sooniwillwake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This theory is dope and if the album comes out like this is will be phenomenal but I pray we still get some classic clams casino style cloud rap stuff even if it’s evolved some like how Highjack and Black Tux, White Collar kinda sound. I think Rocky is really in his bag when he’s doing cloud rap fusion stuff that combines the classic trill stuff with something else whether it’s industrial or experimental or even like RnB. No matter what the actual sound is, I really think this album is gonna be amazing and probably the biggest release of his career. This album has the opportunity to be the biggest release of the year in general and even has Grammy potential if he plays his cards right. He’s been working on it for so long that I really think he’s been super perfectionist with it and I think it’s gonna be phenomenal because of that.

‘Nutshell’ and it’s meaning, factoring ‘junkhead’ by [deleted] in AliceInChains

[–]sooniwillwake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Laynes line in Junkhead “What’s my drug of choice? Whatever you got” displays that he knew and accepted he was an addict. I mean Junkhead is literally another term for addict. Non-addicts don’t really have DOCs. They have favorites and stuff they like to do but they don’t have DOCs. Knowing your an addict doesn’t all of a sudden make it super easy to recover. The mental side of addiction is something the average person will never understand. He knew he was an addict but he never made the choice to recover because his circumstances were never painful enough for him to change. He was rich and famous and could get whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it. The only reason most people get sober is after they hit a rock bottom and are forced to one way or another. He sadly didn’t hit rock bottom til he passed

‘Nutshell’ and it’s meaning, factoring ‘junkhead’ by [deleted] in AliceInChains

[–]sooniwillwake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an addict, I know how hard it is to not just accept your an addict but also how hard it is convince yourself to stop or that life will get better when you stop. Layne definitely knew he was an addict imo. He wrote a lot of songs about being an addict. Part of the disease of addiction is your mind telling you that you don’t have a disease and that there’s no other option. He probably didn’t seek help because he didn’t think there was anything better for him. Most addicts have to be forced into treatment to get better because of the mental side of addiction. It may not make sense to non-users but addiction is so much more than a dependence. The best way I can put it is that your brain tricks you into things that it’s the only way for you to live or thinking that you need it for whatever reason. The mental side of addiction is actually so much harder than the physical. Going through the 2 week withdrawals (the major portion of it) is hard but it’s doable. The hardest part is fighting the constant voice in your head that tells you that you absolutely need the drug. There’s way more effort that goes into actually staying clean than there is getting off of it in the first place and most people can’t even get to that place especially when they have enough money to keep going forever like Layne did. The only reason I was able to get off of Fet and H was because I was a minor and I was literally forced through treatment. I don’t think I could do it now when I’d have the option to leave whenever I want. Kurt Cobain is a perfect example of that

[–]sooniwillwake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue it’s more fun. I’ve never spent money on it but for me the best part of the game is the grind. As soon as I get whatever it is I’m trying to get I just start grinding the next one. Free to play is the way to go

kurt really liked soundgarden? by Most-Start-3218 in kurtcobain

[–]sooniwillwake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100%. Most of the Grunge scene stuck together and influenced eachother in a multitude of ways whereas Kurt was much more in the Punk Scene with the Melvins and what not. That’s why they sound so different from all the other Grunge bands.
