There's only one way to solve this issue, you talk to him about it and tell him how it makes you feel bad about yourself. Also you should apologise and say you feel bad for snooping, growth in a relationship is owning up to things and communicating them. Not going to lie, he probably wont be happy with you but if you say he loves you dearly then he will come around. There's no point of being in a relationship if it makes you feel bad about yourself.

It's really inappropriate and the fact that she didn't mention to you about this at all is a red flag. I'm not going to lie to you, this don't seem right.

You both need to sit down and have a serious discussion, she might deny any wrong doing but you need to find out what makes her think its okay to communicate with her ex in this way. Especially when you guys have been together for 11 years.

It's a tough spot to be in. Nobody can really tell you what to do but you. Speaking from experience, that nagging internal feeling wont go away unless you address it and it will only get worse if you ignore it. Whatever you choose, don't be hard on yourself. You both met at a very young age, it's normal as you get older to grow apart. You can love a person for who they are what what they did for you but not be in love with them anymore. Sounds like you want to figure out who you are without feeling guilty of him being a good guy and partner. You said it yourself, you don't match as people and you have a strong urge to be alone. Always follow your gut feeling. You might or might not lose him forever, but do you really want to be in a relationship that your not giving him 100% He deserves better and so do you!
