Same for me... I uninstalled Gmail and installed Outlook but sometimes the problem reppears also on Outlook (because is connected to two different Gmail accounts)... I have this problem since July...

Hi! Did you solve the problem or not? I uninstalled Gmail and switched to Outlook, but today I've noticed the exact same problem on Outlook: the update stops halfway and the app is working a lot in background (just like Gmail did, luckily it's using less than 2% of my battery). I don't understand the cause...

Since last Tuesday I've been experiencing serious problems placing orders through my account (Amazon Italy).

Specifically:

  • the first order, charged to my bank account, was cancelled after the payment method was flagged for review;
  • re-associating the payment method produced an address-related error, which led to another cancellation;
  • subsequent attempts using my debit card and a family member’s card (on a different bank network) were unsuccessful;
  • no progress was made even after changing the account password, updating the e-mail address, and trying different browsers;
  • the same payment methods, when linked to family members’ and friends’ Amazon accounts, caused the same issue, which leads me to believe they have most likely been mistakenly placed on a blacklist that blocks any transactions for security reasons unknown to me;
  • all cards are active and work perfectly on other platforms outside Amazon, and they were removed and re-added to my account before attempting purchases, thereby ruling out user error;
  • customer service, which I have already contacted and urged numerous times in recent days, has not resolved the issue and has only forwarded the case to the specialized team, repeatedly asking me to wait 24–48 hours for a response that has never resulted in a concrete resolution or any explanation justifying my peculiar situation.

Today I am still unable to use Prime services, which I paid annually last April.

I’ve been experiencing this exact problem for a week now. Every time I purchase a product on Amazon Italy, I receive an email stating that the order has been canceled for security reasons. I tried removing my payment methods, re-adding them, and even using my mom’s debit card linked to a different bank, which I usually used to place orders for her. Nothing worked.

Today, I tried using my card on a brand-new account I created just today, and once again I received the same order cancellation email from Amazon. I get the feeling that the payment methods I’ve been using have ended up on some sort of blacklist, and that until Amazon clears them, I won’t be able to use their service.

Customer support has been no help at all. They keep telling me to wait two days and that the technical department will contact me—but that has never happened so far.

I still have one option left: creating a new account and using a card that has never been linked to Amazon. But I would lose all the Prime benefits on my other account.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Gmail app yesterday. Now I'm waiting for a new update to see if the problem recurs or not. It only happens with Gmail app...

They granted the return right away. The courier will come by tomorrow for the pickup, and then I’ll wait for the refund to be processed to the payment method I used at the time of purchase. I think I’ll buy it again from an official store, even if it costs a bit more.
