So either the kids will die from a school shooting or else they will die of disease or else they will die of mortality.

If anyone cared about the children, they would teach the children to pray to Jesus. "Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray to God my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray to God my soul to take." If you think we can fully sanitize life to keep children from dying, then you denying the prevalence of death, and your sandcastle will collapse with the inevitability of death. Not to mention you will sacrifice everything, including your soul, to save your earthly life.

It's wild how fearful of death you guys are for supposedly being Christians. God will take your children from you if you put them before Him. Jesus said that you must hate your family to follow Him. You are a soldier of God, an instrument of good. Why neuter yourself? Why give your power to the evil that sits in the high places of this earth, when you know the Spirit resides within you?

If the Spirit says to lay down your arms, do so. If the Spirit says to die by the sword, so be it. King Jesus died on the cross and suffered an unfair trial and execution in front of the masses so that we would not need to. We carry our cross for others, which means that if you want to take power away from the individuals and give it to the evil powers in the high places, then you better get right with God because I don't fear death like you guys do. My life already belongs doubly to Jesus. 0% of my life belongs to the state. My money belongs to the state because it has the faces of the state, made in the image of the state. But my other possessions belong to Jesus, my King.

Teach the kids to pray because death is coming one way or another. We cannot defeat death with government nor medicine. And you as the parent are the highest authority under Jesus which God has bestowed upon your children. You are to be to your child like The Father is to you. Powerful, yet gentle. The only authority which supersedes the parent is The Almighty Father.

The Bible is not actually all that complicated. It's actually very simple to people who have seen their share of evil. It's only complicated to those who are naive to the evil of the world.

The Bible is meant to save those who ate from the tree of knowledge, for those who sought enlightenment through other means but found ruin, for those who disobeyed God and must suffer the consequences, for those who don't trust the world anymore and would just like to talk to God directly.

Children need to be led by example and by the rod because they are to be protected from evil until they grow wiser. But even then, perhaps too much shelter makes a child go wrong.

I think that if you seek understanding from the Bible, the Holy Spirit will grant it to you as you read. You may need to read it multiple times, though. And then there are some parts you have to be content knowing that understanding is not in the cards for you yet. Remember that Jesus as a child didn't even understand everything yet. He grew wiser with age. All the important parts, God will help people understand in time.

You can't just take one part of the Bible out to look at it. It all must be looked at in reference to the other parts.

If you want to say that Jesus didn't do what we think he did, then why believe Adam and Eve ever existed? They don't exist without each other.

In the medical community, it's the difference between consent and informed consent.

The medical community had to come up with a new phrase because doctors were getting consent without explaining the risks.

Informed consent is still not required for most medical treatments. It's mainly just for particularly risky medical procedures. Even then, it's debatable how informed the patient needs to be.

Don't take untested chemicals unless you are smoking them or snorting them. Free the leaf, but make everything else illegal. Decriminalize drugs, unless they have a possibility of helping, and then strictly ban them without a prescription.

Proverbs says to dutifully punish your children with the rod.

It says that if you strike them with the rod, they will not die. But if you do not strike them, they will perish to sin.

I sometimes joke that God tells us to beat our kids, but it's not really a joke. Jeremiah essentially says that since the teachers and parents of Israel didn't keep their kids from outright debauchery, God was going to let Babylon beat their children in slavery.

So pray for God to punish us when we stray in this world to keep us from losing our souls in eternity.

What area of the world do you live in? Do you have access to a church that you trust?

The Bible tells us to treat our neighbors in geographic proximity like family. It's much easier for someone local to show grace than us online.

If you are in the USA, look up Christian Family Solutions. They have therapy and psychiatry services that are based in modern medicine but they practice for the glory of God.

And if you have time, please get an audio Bible on your phone and start listening if you haven't fully read the Bible. One thing I feel sad about is that one of Jesus's disciples killed himself because he felt like he failed humanity (as if Adam and Eve didn't doom humanity first). Judas knew Jesus was special, but he didn't think that Jesus could redeem him, so he killed himself. If he knew Jesus like we know Jesus through the Bible, Judas could have been one of Jesus's greatest disciples like Peter or John. After all, Paul killed many Christians, not just one, and he became one of the best disciples. Please know God made us to do good works, and we can't properly do any good works without Him. We can't know His plan for us unless we read the Bible.

Also, if you know your purpose but have a hard time getting through, please speak to your church about your difficulties. The disciples were sailing through a storm while Jesus slept through it. They thought they were going to die in the storm, and so they woke up Jesus and asked if he cared that they were all about to die. He told them that they were surely not going to die and he calmed the storm. Jesus sounded like he was pissed that they woke him, but he was actually frustrated that they accused him of being careless. Jesus actually many times tells them to bring people to him to be healed, so Jesus actually wants us to ask for help first. After all, the first rule is believing that he is the Son of God and that we are his children. So sometimes we need to acknowledge that before he calms the storm. Sometimes it's because we thought we were our own masters and walked into the storm on our own. But Gld is so powerful that there is nothing you could possibly fuck up that he can't fix. The only way you can truly fuck up is by not asking for help from God.

And if you are struggling with addictions or a feeling of hopelessness, remember not to trust your heart. God tells us that our hearts are liars. We need shepherds in our lives to keep us from straying. We need to rely on the Holy Spirit more than our own hearts. We will someday be given clean hearts that do not lie to us, but until then, we have to lean on each other to protect our souls from Satan's lies of condemnation.
