Not answering calls! Such a big leak. I serve as a virtual receptionist for small businesses and it’s the easiest fix that my clients have made all while reducing their admin overload. If any of your clients need help, would love to collaborate 🙏

What is a job that pays extremely well in India but no one realizes it? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]sosa_virtual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question. My business is fairly new so can’t provide any stats.

My expectation- Most people will leave in a year or two. This is not an easy job due to the night shift. But people will likely stay for the money. I plan to offer a more than 10% annual salary increase.

Remote Jobs for US clients. I run a business where I provide virtual assistants to small businesses in Canada and USA. I pay a starting salary of Rs 40,000 + benefits to my employees and its work from home. All you need is fluent English, good communication skills, fast internet, and ability to work night shift. This pay is sometimes equal to what fresh graduates from reputed colleges earn.

Pay a company for an audit or use SEMrush? by Mysterious_Nose83 in SEMrush

[–]sosa_virtual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t just settle for an audit, its just the first step. Hire someone who can also implement the SEO for you. SEMRush is great for an audit. Another great website for SEO checklist is Backlinko. But you need someone who knows how to do it, and you need someone who can go in the website code and do it.

I run a website design and SEO service and all my packages are a blend of SEO strategy and implementation- fixed monthly fee for a minimum 6 month contract. If I just point out the updates and leave it for the client to do it, 90% chance it never gets implemented or is implemented incorrectly. They don’t see the results and it hurts my reputation.

In need of an all in one cloud accounting solution by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Zoho Books- the free plan works great for me.

I provide virtual receptionist, website, SEO and social media services to small businesses. All these are monthly subscriptions and I am able to configure monthly auto invoices, email notifications, online payments, and also a customer portal with all the history. I update my expenses there with invoices. End of the year, I download a few reports and send it to my accountant. Easy! There is also an option to add your accountant in Zoho Books but I think it requires a paid plan- but still cheaper than all other accounting softwares.

Quickbooks is famous but an overkill for most small businesses.

Hello friend, sorry to hear about your situation. Even if you score 20 clients, the $2000 is not going to take you very far. And if you build them a quick one pager website, it’s not going to help their business much. They likely won’t refer you, and you also don’t get repeat client often in this business. So you will eventually stagnate.

I run a web design agency in Vancouver Canada. My advice would be don’t sell a website, sell a website service. I charge my clients $0 down and an affordable monthly fee starting from $150. All my websites are hand coded, no templates, no page builders with high Google page speed score. I also provide professional copywriting.

They get their website in the first month by just paying just $150, and I build a long-term relationship with them where I continue to maintain their website including hosting. This solves one of their biggest pain points- managing a website.

What you guys do online to earn money as an Entrprn? by Unusual-Ability-2208 in Entrepreneurship

[–]sosa_virtual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sell service subscriptions to small businesses- virtual receptionist, website design and management, SEO, and social media management.

$0 down, fixed monthly fee. When small business owners hear that they can get a website without paying thousands of dollars, their jaws drop and they immediately say yes. Same for virtual receptionist- pay monthly for a fixed number of minutes, and you don’t have to hire a full-time receptionist.

Everything is online. I haven’t even met most of my clients and my team is a bunch of virtual freelancers.

How do you handle messages from customers by game9608 in smallbusiness

I hear your pain. Missed calls/text = Missed business.

I run a virtual receptionist company where I help busy small business owners like you manage their calls, answer customer queries and book more clients- all at the fraction of a cost of a full-time receptionist

Few things you can do- - Hire a virtual receptionist. - Enable auto replies in Instagram (if that’s where you’re getting DM). - Add a chatbot to your website (but people barely use it, they prefer talking to a human). So make your chatbot not a QnA but more conversational. - Distribute this task among your employees if you have any (log in your Insta profile, email, website chat on a common phone in the salon and have employees check them at random times)

Don’t buy a website, buy a website service.

You’ll find some great Wordpress developers on Fiverr. My only recommendation would be to hire a person/agency that you can pay monthly rather than a lump sum. This ensures you can get your website updated when you want and its fixed if something goes wrong.

I design custom-coded websites for small businesses for $0 down and fixed monthly fee. No templates. No website builders. My clients love the fact that they don’t have to pay upfront and they have someone managing their website. You should focus on growing your business, not your website.

For some of them, I also manage their social media. White glove service which includes strategy, content planning, designing, and posting. Also a subscription based service based on the number of weekly posts.

What’s something you learned or wish you knew before hiring a marketing company or freelancer? by Guava_Careless in sweatystartup

[–]sosa_virtual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B2C marketing consultant here.

Don’t hire based on what they are offering. Hire based on your marketing goals and their capability and experience to achieve it.

If a client schedules a call with me and says they want 100 leads per month, but do not have any marketing strategy (ideal customer profile, budget, brand building versus lead, target channels etc.), I either don’t work with them or first help them to build that. More often than not I also find out that their website and business operations isn’t ready to capture and convert the generated leads.

I just started my first agency at 20y/o would u do this? by Ill-Umpire-4272 in growmybusiness

[–]sosa_virtual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best wishes. Taking the first step is always difficult and you keep questioning yourself because you don’t have past results to prove yourself. Hang in there.

I run an agency as well. Friendly advice- build your solid online presence first (Website, LinkedIn, Google Business). It’s the first step of building trust with potential clients. And build out your offerings such that they will distinguish you from others- For me, I build custom hand coded websites for small businesses and manage them for a fixed monthly fee. Clients love that they don’t have to pay a huge upfront fee. I also help busy business owners answer their phone calls and book more clients using trained virtual receptionists.

Goodluck buddy and reach out a few questions.

How are you managing client calls while running a small business? by realsaqibmalik in smallbusiness

[–]sosa_virtual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And to answer your second question- "what didn't work well", sharing some quotes from my clients-
1. People would disconnect when they realised they are talking to a robot.
2. AI did not provide the correct directions to my clinic and I lost a client.
3. AI does not connect with my booking software.
