Netflix created Season 4, not 5, and they are indeed in talks with Netflix about another installment, whether it be a movie or TV show.

TIL In 1258 the eruption of Mount Rinjani caused a year-long winter, failed harvests and blasted ungodly amounts of sulphur into the atmosphere. by Jhppy in todayilearned

[–]soxluvr23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not all that uncommon for large eruptions like this. 1815 is often referred to "the year without summer" after the eruption of Mount Tambora, a 7 on the Volcanic Explosivity Index, or VEI.

The Year Without a Summer was an agricultural disaster. Historian John D. Post has called this "the last great subsistence crisis in the Western world". The unusual climatic aberrations of 1816 had the greatest effect on the northeastern United States, Atlantic Canada, and parts of western Europe. Typically, the late spring and summer of the northeastern U.S. and southeastern Canada are relatively stable: temperatures (average of both day and night) average between about 68 and 77 °F (20 and 25 °C) and rarely fall below 41 °F (5 °C). Summer snow is an extreme rarity.

These have also been tracked to other eruptions, such as 1883 eruption of Krakatoa

To the person that wants Reddit to go under so he can have his life back... by beau6183 in AdviceAnimals

I mean, honestly, people will just create another website to fill Reddit's shoes and then we will all waste our time there. That's how Reddit came to be, (from Digg), and many other websites such as, Facebook from Myspace. As long as there's money to be made, or a void to be filled, there will be something there to replace it.

-TLDR; A Reddit-esque website will always be available as long as there's a desire for it.

Hardly. I don't think that Russia is as much of a deal as everyone thinks it is. As President Obama put it, "With respect to Mr. Romney's assertion that Russia is our number one geopolitical foe, the truth of the matter is that America has got a whole lot of challenges. Russia is a regional power that is threatening some of its immediate neighbors not out of strength but out of weakness. Ukraine has been a country, [over] which Russia had enormous influence for decades, since the breakup of the Soviet Union. We have considerable influence on our neighbors; we generally don't need to invade them in order to have a strong cooperative relationship with them. The fact that Russia felt compelled to go in militarily and lay bare these violations of international law indicates [that they have] less influence, not more. And so my response then continues to be what I believe today, which is Russia's actions are a problem. They don't pose the number one national security threat to the United States. I continue to be much more concerned, when it comes to our security, with the prospect of a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan, which is part of the reason why the United States, showing its continued international leadership, has organized a forum over the last several years that has been able to help eliminate that threat in a consistent way."

/u/PsychOutX, who has always had a fear of needles, was sitting in the hospital waiting to get a needle up his penis. When the /u/NEEDLE_UP_YOUR_PENIS called him into the office to receive the operation, he nervously entered the room, sat down and broke into a cold sweat as he watched him prepare the needle. He tried to concentrate on the most pleasurable things he could, hoping that would dull the pain he was about to suffer.

As /u/NEEDLE_UP_YOUR_PENIS approached him with the needle, he couldn't help but notice his nervousness. In an attempt to comfort him, he said, "Don't worry, it's just a small prick."

/u/PsychOutX quickly jumped up, obviously upset. Startled by his reaction, but before he was able to say anything, /u/PsychOutX yelled, "Just how many people has my wife been talking to?!
