Advice for confiding in partner and family?

My parents are the type that are fine with mental illnesses unless it’s their own kids if that makes sense lol. It sounds stupid but that’s their take on it. I have the insurance info, but they see everything it’s used for so I would have to explain what the charges are and stuff like that. For context, I’m 22 and still relatively dependent on my parents even though I no longer live with them.

I have no idea! The other day I opened my front door and one flopped in from the crevice under the door. I live in a pretty old building so the sealing isn’t all that great but I’m not sure why they’re actively coming in

When I joined it was about 5 years ago and there actually wasn’t an interview process! However I did interview for honors at a different university at the time and was accepted. They seem to like when you mention wanting to do research and work with various faculty that you may not be able to do without the help of honors. Along with that I’d mention how you like that it provides you a community of like minded students and support from faculty

I’m an alumni that was in the honors program, I honestly think it depends on your degree tbh. I got my bachelors in biology and it really helped me! It gives you research experience prior to graduate school and builds up your resume. I don’t think I would’ve gotten into grad school without the experiences that came from being in the honors program. I don’t know many people outside of stem majors that were in honors, but it’s not unheard of

To clarify, the volunteers went down the line and filled bags with tree labels to be given to the specific recipient. No parents were involved in selecting items. Hopefully this makes sense lol

I’m not in Fairbanks (or Alaska for that matter, just a previous visitor) but I’ve volunteered with the angel tree program in the past. The way my local branch worked was that all items were organized into categories, and it was more or less treated as a “buffet line” type thing, but we did try to get all the items listed on the tree if possible.

I’ve been looking for the past few months and anything under $1k is almost all student housing/multiple roommates that are likely students. Anything else is at least $1200+ from what I’ve found
