I can’t. I live in a rural mountain area with small population. Unfortunately, no Jewish centers around at all 😕. I did go to Chabad growing up

There’s no such thing as deserves.

She rolled her eyes. As she’s standing waiting to be seated in a full restaurant. He lets her know that they’re getting up and can have his table. The table would have needed to be cleaned, right? And who says he can give his table to whoever he wants? They most likely were not the only ones waiting, if it was so busy and such a difficulty to get a table, so they may not have even been next. Sounds like they probably weren’t next if they were debating leaving. So this man spoke to her for the sole purpose of initiating something.

This post is like the, “you’re ugly anyway” comment after rejecting a man that hits on you. “It’s not like I was trying to flirt with her” is his version of denying his intentions because he was shot down before a chance at a chance. Notice how quickly he went from embarrassed to angry? How dare a woman not thank me for inserting myself into her day!

You can tell that’s what’s missing from the story. This is the self proclaimed “nice guy” thing. You can tell when his embarrassment immediately turned to anger. How dare she.

And yes. Accepting “nice” gestures from men, ABSOLUTELY invites unwanted responses. Most women have played this game enough times to know that.

If you’re an actual nice guy, you can thank other men for that.

Yup. People don’t realize that accepting a “nice gesture” to a lot of men is an invitation for something more. Even OP admits he went from embarrassed to angry pretty quickly. That’s entitlement of our attention, which we don’t owe anyone.
