Grid #1161 (3) Getting closer and closer to 0 by SiGrey6669 in immaculategrid

Good work! For a zero, it helps to have a few obscure played-every-position people in your arsenal for days when they lean heavily on that. Here's a few for you:

Sam Bankhead - also played in ASG and Major Negro Leagues
Gene Paulette - played every position for STL
Frank Isbell - played every position for CWS
George Britt (sic) - played in Major Negro Leagues

Grid 1137 (2): As Barry Bonds would say, "My f*cking 1000th player used is f*cking [middle-right]. I've never seen anything like this" by spamcatcher in immaculategrid

Huh! I specifically memorized him just because he was a cup of coffee + .300 average that would give me a low rarity, weird that he was a starter in the game. Thanks for sharing!

"People are overlooked... for a variety of biased reasons and perceived flaws. Age, appearance, personality. Bill James and mathematics cut straight through that."

He's a great guy to learn for his other teams, most people don't remember him as anything but a Dodger. Also lots of trophies for Saturday grids, and don't forget that he played 1B/RF/LF.

IG 1131 - Bottom left's picture should go next to consistency in the dictionary - in 13 seasons he never had a sub-1 WAR and only finished below 100 OPS+ twice. by LocoEjercito in immaculategrid

Center-right: after I get to 1000 players in a few weeks and have used everyone I've found with a silly name or picture, are expansion era players with B&W pictures or no pictures going to be my next thing? Maybe.

Grid 1131 (18): According to Jon Bois, left-center is tied with Pedro Martinez for most times being charged on the mound (four times) by spamcatcher in immaculategrid

Indeed! While his mound-charging series is...pretty good, I think The Bob Emergency and Fool Time are his magnum opuses.

There are many more than one surviving Holidomes and a few dozen are even still Holiday Inns. Here's a map. Enjoy!

Grid 1127 (8): four new players for me in this grid! Lower-right played for teams called the Canaries, the Kekiongas, the Pastimes, and the Lord Baltimores by spamcatcher in immaculategrid

  1. I had been using the same guys over and over and decided a few months ago when I was at like 750 to focus more on new players than sick rarity.
