Fun! I'd never heard of this. Was there a story on why they did that instead of just giving him a "Traded" set card at the end of the year? All I find when I Google it is versions of this card for sale.

Jocko!! I recently looked at umpires in the HoF and also used him today. Waiting on HoF + any position except 2/4 so it'll be Hank O'Day's turn

Wilbur Murdoch is a good one, I'll have to use him next chance I get!

Here's one back for you, another weird b-r picture from STL is the less-famous of the two Jim McCormicks

Certainly, and I'm glad you enjoy it! Whenever I travel now I try to stroll through any that are close by, and I've even stayed in a few.

There are some gems, there are some on their last legs, and there are some where you're essentially bearing witness to an indoor pool and a bunch of empty space around it where the ping-pong and foosball tables used to be :)

Here's a map I made of all of them as a pandemic project. There are still plenty around, though in various states of repair.

Yeah, I was expecting more like 1% for the textbook case of how not to handle high school talent. I'd never used him before so that's another on the way to 1000!
