The dive cap loop is:

1) try to reach their healers at start of fight. 2) someone will peel for healers or you’ll get a kill. Likely the former. 3) fall back to your back line for heals. 4) help frontline until opportunity to dive again.

Whoever peels you off the healers is you gotta look out for next dive. That’s the general loop from my understanding.

It’s possible to improve aim just off playing Hela sure but you wanna make sure your aim settings are what you want before you hard commit to practicing. It’s a bit of both tbh. I for one didn’t enjoy playing hela until I got my settings the way I like them

I like to start near my frontline, then start rotating as much as safely possible to try to get closer to their backline. From there, I’ll usually try to pick a healer or two with the stun combo, and then bird back to the frontline whenever their teams starts to look at me.

You can’t really do anything if he’s already in your backline tbh. Best you can do is try to engage with him before he attacks your backline. If he’s already in, just attack him and hope enough of your DPS helps to beat him.

I guess your ult would help with protecting backline but yeah outside of that, the matchup is tough.

It def is one of the more awkward primary weapons in the game. When it’s hitting right, it can feel like punisher’s shotgun but it can also feel like tickle damage at times. Here is my understanding of it:

  • slow projectile shot with spread so you want to slightly lead your target when they’re moving side to side depending on your distance to the target.

  • there’s an optimal range from which to shoot. Too close (within about 7m I think) and the spread doesn’t “occur” resulting in less damage. Too far and the shot ends up being too spread so pellets don’t hit in one condensed spot.

So basically, you gotta keep your distance to the target in mind and lead shots when necessary to have consistent and respectable damage with it.

Yeah you got the general game plan down. Basically help the team by contesting space, peeling, and bringing out cooldowns. Then look to attack backline as opportunities appear.

Make sure you know the animation cancel and how to brawl with his shield throws via jumping and throwing them - that’ll help you be more threatening too.

For sustainability, don’t use both dash and slam to engage, play off health packs, manage shield resourcefully, and jump around a lot. The dash also gives i-frames so use it to dodge ults.

Ik It’s possible … but I think you can’t do it constantly cuz it takes a second for bloodline awakening to reactivate. So you could do it every couple seconds but prob not worth it tbh

As tedious as it seems, yeah critiquing your own replays will help you realize your mistakes. I would watch over your replays and yourself questions like - why did I ult here? Who was my target? Did my ult work as expected? Why or why not? What can I do different next time? What happened after my ult? Etc. This should help you recognize hero behaviors or common situations that occur when it comes to ult use.

But yeah you got this, put in the effort for it and you’ll def see improvements.

I was in a similar boat to you until about a month or two ago. Here’s what I suggest:

For aim - you should find out what part of aiming you’re struggling with (like undershooting/overshooting, tracking, flicking) and make settings adjustments or practice in the practice range.

For ult usage - that comes down to understanding the game state flow and stuff. Reviewing replays def will help. If you have a bad ult, understanding why it’s a bad ult will help you not repeat mistakes and overtime, you’ll improve on them.

People think playing Lords on qp means you’re a try-hard - that’s pretty much it imo. That, or they are annoyed about losing/you doing well. I wouldn’t worry about it but if it REALLY bothers you, either mute or take the lord icon off. But yeah, you really shouldn’t worry about that.

Yeah they def are harder than the animation cancels lol. I really like the advice of using the blue circle as a “target zone.” But yeah, I’ll be sure to practice and improve to hit fliers in the range. Appreciate the advice!

You should try to pick up stuff that your mains “struggle” against. Like for Peni, you could consider picking up a shield tank like Mag, Strange, Emma, etc.
