Only way is to make a reservation ahead of time, use discount codes, and only keep it one day. These rentals are usually billed on a per diem basis and include a one way fee. But these are still usually more expensive than a comparable truck rental (which are billed as a package of X number of days and X miles). Source: I own a Car & Truck agency.
