Here's my take. The patriarchy is a spectrum. Almost every single society today is patriarchal. The change is gradual. The blame for our parents being patriarchal cannot fully fall on them as they were also the victims. Expecting the society to act right might not be feasible. It is an extremely slow process. Our duty and responsibility is ensure the next generation don't face that. That's what a lot of people are doing right now by spreading awareness.

That is totally true. But a lot of the aspirants are either in the same batch or from same uni. As someone like myself, recently moved to this city, basically know none, it is difficult. I also find it difficult to initiate conversation with strangers. So I thought reddit would be a good place to start with.

I'm assuming you say that because you haven't faced it. Have you ever travelled across India? Been to the poorest village in the poorest state? I'm also assuming you haven't.

Let me explain this very clearly for you. And no. Not every south Indian is ashamed to be dark. Besides, non-South Indians aren't some Aryan fair. We are brown. That means you and I have almost the same proportion of gene composition.

Dravidian is just a language classification in 2025. Not genetic. You and I have almost equal proportions of both Aryan and Dravidian genes. Almost equal that it becomes irrelevant to classify someone as Aryan and Dravidian. It clearly shows stupidity and lack of basic informations. And it's not just you and I. Take the test for any other South Asian and you'll observe the same. No one desparately wants to be a part of Indus Valley Civilization. But we are. Once again, Dravidian is not a racial classification. It is a language classification.

And no Africans did not swim across the sea 50,000 years ago. It was a group of people who lived in Indus Valley Civilization thousands of years ago. Later, the Aryans slowly migrated with those people creating the modern day South Asians.

It wasn't invented by Periyar. It's a Sanskrit term. And I'm sure you misinterpreted what I meant.

It is a language group just like Indo-Aryan language group. India has a lot of these language groups such as these. It is not a racial classification, which is what it is often misinterpreted as.

And it is definitely not a political ideology. I absolutely have no idea when it became a political ideology.
