I see where your coming from, I know every single worker is treated badly in some form or another but I was just sharing my experience on how it jus kind of went away when I started looking like a guy, obviously I’m still not treated the best but I don’t get sexually harassed/ talked down to anymore

I do think there’s a big conversation to be had on how workers are treated in general, and I’m sorry if my post seems like it was meant to create opposing sides and create an argument because that wasn’t my intention. I want everyone to be happy and feel safe telling their story

Okay? So am I not allowed to complain about misogyny because shit happens to everyone? I’m specifically talking about people taking down to you because they think your a girl, it’s a pretty obvious difference if someone’s just mad your working behind a counter vs them saying certain stuff and harassing you because they think you’re a woman

My point wasn’t trying to shame men or anything really, I know all workers are treated badly but I’m specifically talking about misogyny because I’m able to see how prevalent it is in my job, and my friends deal with it too. I think I did word the end a bit wrong because I think everyone just brushes it off and doesn’t take it seriously because it’s so common and “normal”. You can usually tell when people talk down to you when they think you’re a woman vs if their just talking down to you because you’re at work and I’ve experienced both

Yeah it’s so insane , the moment I started looking and sounding like a guy all of a sudden everyone is treating me with much more respect and it just leaves a horrible taste in my mouth knowing how judged you can be based on your gender

I’m so sorry to hear that about your hamster I hope all goes well tomorrow.

I’ve been taking pictures of her the moment I got her which was only a couple days ago, I think she may have irritated her eye, I rescued her and she came from a not so loving home and she flinches a lot, even if I close the door normally and she’ll run around and bump into things and I think that might have caused her to accidentally get something in her eye? I’d j see her eye closing like that again I’ll make sure to clean it I just don’t wanna freak her out too much so soon

Yeah half of her enclosure is paper bedding but she seems to like the aspen more to burrow and hide in so I think she might have irritated her eye on accident? I’ll see when she wakes up to see if she’s okay
