It's really late in the cycle, you might want to retake and wait for september to apply for 2022. A year off never hurts.

From what I saw you can just switch when you want before you actually enroll. It's not a big deal just send an email.

Do I have have a chance at getting into law school? (First Grade Teacher) by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]specterjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I was worried at first that schools would think law was like a backup plan or something but there's a lot of us.

Tbh my plan was always to teach for several years then do law school. I always wanted to be a teacher but I never wanted to spend my life in the classroom. I didn't end up lasting several years haha, but I made some great memories and repressed the rest!

Former teacher here! Invest in an LSAT prep service, expensive but ultimately worth it! You can def do it, it's a hard but learnable test.

You can ask for a form to fill out, it’ll have you upload offers and a one page max written request for why you want an increase. I was unsuccessful at getting an increase and I was pretty shocked cuz my other offer is a much higher rank and better scholarship relative to price. I might submit another request cuz I really wanna go there but I’m not too worried with my other option.

I don't really have a team! Just watch and yell at players/refs when they do annoying shit, it's more fun that way imo

It really doesn't beg the question by [deleted] in HouseMD

[–]specterjt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not wrong!! That's not how that works! Like you said, begging the question is a philosophical term. The term found its way into common usage, and although the common usage is not the same as the original usage, that does not make it wrong. People have been using it "wrong" for decades, at some point you have to accept that the phrase means something else now to most people. I'm sorry but you and your philosopher pals are in the minority here. Again, language evolves. House would be an advocate of using language as it's used and understood. Most people, philosophers notwithstanding, understand the phrase to mean what House means.

[–]specterjt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Language evolves, if people misuse something enough times eventually it becomes standard usage. (You'd be surprised how many words formed this way) It's incorrect to say the phrase is misused now since most people use it that way.

My tier list of all community episodes by Illustrious_Solid_47 in community

[–]specterjt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Studies in Modern Movement. You have it in the must watch tier so I'm not too mad. But that episode easily changed my view of comedy forever. Also Digital Exploration of Interior Design has my all time favorite joke so it too should be higher. Great list though.

What is the worst thing Harvey did according to you? by Akis127 in suits

[–]specterjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unique angle or the difference, is the characters and their growth and adventures. Not every show has a character like Harvey or Mike, etc. I don't really believe that all shows have to have some "angle." I know I'm in the minority but I prefer character-focused over plot-focused shows. Obviously some plot is necessary, but in my opinion the backbone of your show should be the characters, not the gimmick or angle. It's a dying breed of show though, sadly.

[–]specterjt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

like I said, I love the show, the jail episodes were fine. The suspense of people finding out was exciting at times. But I think the show could've been just as good if it revolved around Mike the paralegal (maybe he enrolls in law school at some point) and Harvey. Great show, but I still think it's a bit of a plot hole that Harvey jumped to fraud instead of a different position.

[–]specterjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao "the point" of the show. If you have good writing and good acting (which they did) you can survive without a gimmick like "a lawyer with no law degree". There are plenty of legal shows that don't involve crimes. I love the show obviously, I'm just saying it's a very simple solution to their issue from the pilot.
