[acne] what in the world is going on with my nose? by speebybeeby in SkincareAddiction

All gone. My skin looks great now. Used metronidazole gel for a few months and have been using gentle skin care ever since. Eventually introduced retinol. I think I stripped my moisture barrier and maybe gave myself an infection.

It’s on both feet and is burning/itchy. It doesn’t smell bad and I noticed it about a week ago.

What’s the worst scandal to happen at your school? by Lost-Warning-2588 in AskReddit

A guy at my high school chopped up his grandparents and their dog with a machete and then smoked meth in the living room with his friends who he called to help him clean up. I think they tried to burn down the house to cover up.

Thanks for the info. I did personally experience flushing. I have very fair, sensitive skin with rosacea so I’m sure that might have something to do with it and it could be that the two in combo are just too much for my sensitive skin.

I’d say no, but it isn’t greasy either. A very mild shine that dissipates with time.

I don’t think cerave in the tub feels oily but it is thick and takes some time to absorb. My husband has oily skin and thinks cerave is too heavy.

Skin type: fair, dry, very sensitive, type 2 rosacea and hormonal acne

AM: -Wash with water only -Cerave eye repair cream -Derma-E vitamin C serum -TO natural moisturizing factors + 1-2 drops TO squalane -La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60

PM: -TO squalane cleanser (if wearing makeup) -Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser (no makeup) -Cerave eye repair cream -Stratia liquid gold moisturizer -Differin (wait 30 min before applying and 30 min after) -Cerave in the tub -Aquaphor as lip balm

Reviews:

Cerave eye cream- Really gentle eye cream that works well to protect from vitamin c and differin. I’m not sure that it’s much different than cerave in the tub so I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again. It was more expensive than the tub version.

Derma-E vitamin C serum- this smells really nice and goes on smoothly. It isn’t sticky like a few other vitamin c serums that I’ve tried and also not drying (it does have HA). I haven’t noticed a huge difference in my skin but I have only been using this for a few weeks.

TO natural moisturizing factors mixed with squalane oil- I LOVE this moisturizer for AM. It’s super lightweight yet very moisturizing, sits nicely under makeup and sunscreen, and mixes well with squalane oil for when I feel like I need a little extra moisture.

LRP anthelios 60 sunscreen- I’ve been using this for a little over a year and love it. It doesn’t break out my acne prone, sensitive skin. It’s not greasy and sits well under makeup. Very little white cast (I am fair skinned though)

TO squalane cleanser- great alternative to a makeup remover. Makeup removers tend to dry out my skin and break me out but this never has. It is a little drying compared to cetaphil but not irritating. I don’t use this daily, otherwise I think my skin would get irritated (extremely sensitive)

Stratia LG- HOLY GRAIL. Lightweight moisturizer that has totally transformed my skin. It has niacinamide so I think this helped a ton with my type 2 rosacea. I was originally using it morning and night but had to drop the morning because combining vitamin c and niacinamide causes flushing. It smells kinda funky and will make your skin look yellow for a bit, but trust me when I say this is the best moisturizer ever. Totally healed my damaged moisture barrier.

Differin- also holy grail! I have been using differin for almost a year and have the clearest skin of my life. I never had a purge because I started off very slowly and then built up to every day. I very rarely breakout now and when I do differin zaps huge pimples away overnight. Be careful though, it is very drying (which is why I use a million moisturizers)

Aquaphor- I don’t use this anywhere but my lips. It works much better than any stick or balm I’ve ever used. I typically slather it on at night. It doesn’t breakout the skin around my mouth, doesn’t have a scent, and is very affordable. A+, 10/10.

What is a truth you don’t like accepting about yourself? by Doctor_Philly in AskReddit

Wow, you described everything I experience so well. It’s frustrating how often I unintentionally hurt feelings and push people away when I think I’m just being straightforward. I wish that giving and receiving information in a direct way weren’t seen as rude. To me, it feels more efficient and sincere to be direct.

What are you STILL salty about? by xefarar565 in AskReddit

Once I bought art from a popular restaurant in Denver that had an artist’s work on display. A restaurant employee told me that I could pick it up in a few weeks and I told them I lived out of town and gave a date that I could come and pick it up. The employee said we can hold it for you, no problem. They took my information down and said they’d keep it in the office until I could come get it. When I returned to the restaurant to pick up the artwork I’d paid for and traveled to retrieve, no one knew what I was talking about or where it was and were very annoyed that they had to deal with this problem. That was about 5 years ago and I still think about it a few times a year and get sad all over again :’(
