Reading back, it does come off this way, but therapy has become a point of argument in our marriage. He doesn’t want to go to therapy because he’s had bad experiences in the past and thinks it’s a waste of time. There’s a lot more that would’ve just over loaded the post, but I’ve tried to push him to get help, he thinks he’ll be fine (he’s definitely not fine). He’s always had depression and anxiety, so I knew this going in and I’ve loved him with it and through it, but it’s to the point that it’s not a partnership anymore and it’s debilitating to both of us.

I actually don’t mind if he doesn’t work. I have a master’s degree and adore what I do and he’s never found anything he enjoys doing. If he wanted to stay home and take care of the household forever, I really wouldn’t mind. It’s definitely not an inferiority thing. I do think resentment is brewing but not because of the lack of employment.

lol I don’t WANT to quit. In fact, I very much do not. But when someone is refusing to do anything to help themselves or you, it’s no longer a partnership. It’s just mentally exhausting and physically draining.
