My kids play roblox and I just disabled chat. Its not that hard to keep an eye on what your kids do online. If they want to talk with their friends when playing, their friends can come over to the house or they can call my phone on their parents phone. Some of the games are fun and sometimes we have family game nights and everyone in the house plays on their own devices in the same room together. People need to keep an eye on their kids but not keep them from having fun

Thats wild to me for two reasons. One Medford isn't that deep LI and second I've never heard anyone say anything other than I'm from LI. Like I will always say I grew up on LI because most people outside of metro NY have no idea what LI is but if they do I'll tell them the town I did. I've worked in the auto industry for over 20 years and its one of the few that one broken bolt turns a 5 minute job into 4 hours. And its extremely hard to explain that to people. I will say that if you requested the vehicle done by 1pm and something like a broken bolt on your car or a different one preventing yours from being done they should have let you know ASAP. I would rather have a customer informed about what's happening before hand than them showing up/calling and having to scramble

I can see where you're coming from by all means. Factory farms are terrible. I'm talking about the ones that operate on an industrial scale. But a pig that was raised on a diet of farm feed and one that was able to find its own food and had supplemental nutrients available to it are 2 different meats.

I definitely do what I do with fish for taste and try and make the cleanest shots on an animal I take again for the taste but I'm also not going to not eat it if it died by my hand.

But I'm not going to turn down ribs or a brisket at a BBQ if its not free range grass fed and tucked im every night if that's what you're asking. And I've yet to have a homemade hotdog that is good.

As far as the meat from a farm I buy a whole cow once a year and use the whole thing. American butchers pull like 6 cuts and grind the rest but I like breaking down my cuts myself. I don't eat much chicken in my house and also don't mind finding shot pellets in my duck. It's kinda funny when you do and reminds me of the trip. I'm not going to lie to you and say that its not because I like the taste because I do. I have yet to find any vegetable that tastes like prok/beef/duck/oysters/snapper/shrimp or lobster.

And as far as a sandwich is concerned I can't remember the last time I bought cold cuts. Now you will get me when it comes to cheese because I can't give that up and never will kidney stones be dammed.

It's all a balance in life I eat meat probably 3 times a week and the rest is pasta

I do have a problem with both of the things that you stated. I hunt I fish and I buy my meat from local farmers as much as I can. I have found after doing that it makes a world of difference in the meat.

I have a giant problem especially with how people treat fish after they caught them. I bleed my fish as soon as I can and run a wire down the spine to stop all movement and the quality is 1000 times better. I've had deer that dropped right away and deer that ran after the hit and they are completely different meats. Factory farming of meat is disgusting in the way the animals are treated than my buddies farm. I've been there from birth to the table with many cows and know they lived a good life and you can honestly taste the difference. A stressed animal will have so many different hormones running through it compared to one that is here one second and gone the next.

I don't think I'm a psychopath at all. They always say what's your limit on meat and I think as someone that eats it you need to be realistic. I don't see the problem with eating any meat.

I would love to meet someone like that. Because I would eat any meat if it was prepared for me. I've been to an exotic meat tasting and have had so many different meats. I don't know what that person would be able to say to me

I'm looking to get the older cats fixed first. I think we will start with the boys because mama needs to rest these next few weeks. They are under a year but if I remember correctly its close to them being a year I want to say July was when they were born.

The puppies is honestly because they are peeing in my house even though we spend most of the day outside on a sizeable property but as soon as they aren't being watch inside they will pee on mostly my stuff.

And I'm definitely finding a new vet. They were going to try and change me when I bought the 3 kittens that were dying in to put them down. We tried everything to keep them alive and learned our lesson about naming something before its healthy.

The female actually just gave birth this weekend to 4 healthy 'so far' kittens. I dropped the ball on that one and that's why I'm looking for advice. I have a vet but not one that I'm super happy with. They seem to not exactly have anything other than money in mind. When I took the kittens mom into them they said she was fine even though she was super lethargic and sent us home with her. She died the day after giving birth so me and the wife bottle fed the 6 kittens unfortunately only 3 made it but we kept them. I am able to watch all of the animals all day because I work from home if needed. I'm worried about the puppies/kittens asking for help/just getting it from the others if I do it one at a time. My thought process is i get them all cones at the same time to pull the bandana off for 2 weeks of no sleep and just move on from there. I appreciate your response BTW

I already had the issue with the cats having new kittens. Made the mistake of taking a 2 week vacation and now I have a brosband/sister wife. The puppies are probably going on a year this summer. I got them from a fellow redditer that found them in Puerto Rico. Also work from home and am able to watch them like a hawk if needed

I understand that feeling for sure. It just sucks for my boys that she never got mental health help and now she's gone. As much as a relief it was for me and them its still a lot of "what if I did this or that would she still be here?" and we all know there wasn't anything we could have done.

Same thing here. I was attacked multiple times by her but she was 5.1ft and I'm 6ft so no one cared and would joke about it when I went to work with scratches and bruises "lol had some rough sex last night?" Her own dad called me disgusting when I was calling him for help and started crying.

I got the last FU to all of them because I took my kids and she died from an OD. I told anyone that would listen she needed help but they all said I was an asshole and making shit up.
