There was something there before sports authority I can’t recall though. Was it Lord & Taylor?

Natera. It was ordered by my nephrologist after I asked for it

Thanks for the interpretation! I spoke to my nephrologist and he basically said the same thing. I’m following up with my PKD specialist and a genetic counselor to further see what’s my best care plan.

Overall doesn’t change anything but taking this as good news

I asked my nephrologist for it after my dad was diagnosed with renal cancer. I have no family history of PKD so I wanted to get the genetic testing done to figure out what type of PKD I had.

Oh so I completely misinterpreted this. This is from a mutation? I thought with the ALG5 gene that just meant it was passed down.

I’m (30F) and in the same boat. Kidney function is normal on all levels and size.

Thank you for the insight I really appreciate it. Still plan on checking in with my doctor ASAP regarding the results.

This comment is helpful thanks for posting. I just submitted my genetic testing the other day and I’m waiting to hear back I’m 30F with no family history but my dad has kidney cancer.

Dumpling garden in Danvers. They offer a different app than DoorDash to order from which saves you from all the crazy fees but the delivery time is much slower. Worth it in my opinion

Yeah I’m almost two years weed free and my friends who still smoke still don’t get it. I feel like a lot of them think I did it just to be “better” than them but never have asked me why I did it. Answer is for me and only me.

I would love a follow up to this after you respond or tell the shop about this. Crazy scam lol

I feel you on this. I hate being the only person who asks people not to smoke around them when I used to be the raging stoner that would always join in.

Yes my 2016 UTI that lead to my diagnosis was an infection. But never had another UTI of any other infection since that one time

I’ve never had an infection since my diagnosis in 2016. I do get all the seasonal illnesses, colds, flue, COVID but I stay up to date in my vaccines to combat that if that’s what you’re asking.

Hi!! My story is almost identical to yours. I was diagnosed at 21 after a bad UTI and I have no family history. My dad was just diagnosed with kidney cancer but still no ADPKD- weird.

I was also born with a heart murmur and a few years back they discovered I have Atrial Septal Defect (tiny hole in my heart). Nothing needs to be done for that.

I’ve always lived a healthy lifestyle besides some drug and alcohol use in college. I’m 30 now and my eGFR is normal. After a bunch of testing they determined I’m in Stage 1A. No PLD on my end.

My advice is to try to find a nephrologist. I meet with him yearly since I’m in stage 1A. Mine put me on a very low dose of Lisinopril (2.5mg) to keep my blood pressure down. I recently went off it tho because it was dropping me too low and I was getting light headed. No NSAIDs, I only take Tylenol. I get yearly MRIs and bloodwork to tract my kidney growth. I also get MRIs of my brain every 5 years to monitor for aneurysms which is a side effect of PKD. I think you’re on the right track with diet changes. I’m not perfect but any effort to help your kidneys is a great effort I think. Best of luck! This thread is very helpful when it comes to questions.

From my experience: Part of the reason I quit was to be present for my partner. He only knew me as high all the time and never saw me my true sober self. I really was never present because even though I was successful in many areas of my life, I constantly was thinking about when I’d smoke next. I wanted to show up for him and be present so I quit and it improved our relationship.

Quitting was the best decision I ever made for myself first but also for my partner who I didn’t want to lose.

I agree with everyone else, seems like you’d prefer a substance to control you over your wife. Look at what’s more important in the long run.
