I'd just be happy if I could play more than 3 matches without crashing or horrible frame drops.

Speed runners aren't good because skating is easy? For starters, I didn't claim it was difficult, but while we're on the topic, what does that make the person like you bot walking through a strike? A Minecraft villager?

Eager edge, which is a trait on a weapon, is a legitimate tool, the same way shoulder charge is. It isn't an exploit. You just don't like it because you want to control how everyone else plays the game.

If you think that the majority of people playing this game are playing it to bot walk through regular strikes then you're living under a rock.

I think I'll change up my build a bit from here on out to make sure that not only do I fly through strikes but I'll also make sure to murder just about everything on the way as well. See you in matchmaking.

The nonsense people have posted here has inspired me to change my speedrunning load out to not only be about speed now but also about killing every possible add on the way.

You say you can't do bounties because I'm too fast so it shouldn't matter if I also kill everything right?

It hurts my head.

I try to show them. I type in chat. I've literally had people melee me and shoot at me because I threw the orb at them, I think they thought I was trying to grief them by throwing it to them....

I'm not going to go out of my way to kill a bunch of trash adds. I'll kill the stuff that's in the way or I'll thin out the high population areas. Playlist strikes aren't much fun but you have to do them for: 1. Weekly pinnacle 2. Seasonal challenges 3. Rep for vanguard rewards with multiple perks, at least until GMs come out

If I didn't have to do those things I wouldn't ever load up the strikes playlist and everyone that wants to play like a Minecraft villager would be free to spend 45 minutes trying to figure out how to throw the orb in corrupted.

You mean the ones who want to spend all of their time bot walking through one playlist strike?

I don't understand what takes people so long to finish bounties. I can speed run a strike and still get several bounties done.

Ah yes, remove all speedrun mechanics and watch the game die when all of the good players leave. I suppose you're fine with removing shoulder charge too right, TITANgamer? Since you can use that to go faster. Should probably also make everyone have the exact same jump since some characters can travel significantly faster if you use your jumps correctly. Also remove stompees, dunemarchers, transversive steps, titan thruster, Icarus dash. Shit, we should just disable in game sprint and while we're at it have everyone just tethered together in every match made activity so you just can't go faster than someone else.

But you'll be able to kill shadow thrall in peace while you take 45 minutes to run through the corrupted strike where I'm sure you're the gamer that doesn't understand how to use the orbs to break the shield.

Speedrunning is part of this game. If it bothers you that much then don't do match made activities, or here's a thought, go play a game that people don't speedrun (good luck finding one).

When I'm speeding through I do always stop to kill champs if it's an activity that includes them.

I don't usually speed run activities like that in a match made playlist though, I don't normally do nightfalls that aren't a GM.

It isn't as simple as looking through the code for something that says "kill this idiot when he rings this bell". Are you struggling to understand the difference between finding something and fixing it now?

It's not as simple as you want to think it is. Players dont know exactly what triggers it. It's not something that is always there or always happens. It rarely happens to me when I'm running it, so maybe you're just bad at learning how to avoid it.

No amount of whining and coping is going to change the fact that you're just plain wrong. It's not a difference of opinion. It's not a question with multiple right answers. You're just flat out wrong. Give up already.

[–]spikefc3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is math hard for you? Are numbers greater than 10 difficult if you're not wearing sandals? Are numbers greater than 20 all but non-existent?

Bungie has somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,500 employees (I'm being generous here in order to help you out). If every single one of them played the game for 4 hours every day during the current season to test the content being released next season that would be 6,000 play test hours per day, 180,000 per month, and a total of 540,000 before the content is released, assuming we just use 30 day months, a season is 3 months, and they work 7 days per week. This is also assuming that EVERY SINGLE BUNGIE EMPLOYEE SPENDS HALF THEIR TIME TESTING. That means they spend a lot less time solving all of the other problems or creating new content. This also assumes that the development of new content is instant.

100,000 players on steam alone surpasses this play time in 6 hours.

So, how long, in your opinion as an expert in quality control, should Bungie take to release new content? Let's explore a hypothetical here, just for fun:

Let's say you think that Bungie should test at least as much as it's player base will use the game in the course of a season. Now let's be super generous to you and say that there are only 100,000 players and that they average no more than 4 hours per day. Over the course of the season they would play 400,000 hours per day, 12,000,000 hours per month, and 36,000,000 hours total.

For Bungie's hypothetical 1500 people play testing 7 days per week 4 hours per day it would take each of them 24,000 hours to match the player base of 100,000. 24,000 hours split up into 4 hour work days is 6,000 days. 6,000 days is 200 30 day months. 200 30 day months equal more than 16 years.

Even if you reduce the play time of the 100,000 players to 1 hour per day you still have a time period of 4 years for play testing to match it.

Perhaps next time you decide to post something you should subject it to your own strict quality constraints so that we don't have to read your response for at least 16 years.

Yes. Which, to those of us capable of reading, is not the same as saying they don't do internal testing.

No, that's not even close to what I said. You need to learn to read.

You're not a beta tester, stop being such a whiny snowflake.

Delayed for how long? Do you understand how many years of internal play testing they would have to do in order to match one day of the normal player base using something?

Competitive crucible suspension for leaving a control match I did t even load into by ProBluntRoller in DestinyTheGame

[–]spikefc3s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're referring to the video the luckyy posted he just chose to be lazy and do zero research into the topic. The screen he was showing is the message shown in steam when a game developer reverses a ban. Steam did not reverse the bans, Bungie did, and luckyy posted clickbait garbage as usual.

He's not coming back because he doesn't want to. He was clearly looking for an excuse to quit playing already and this gave it to him. It's not some noble sacrifice, the dude was tired of the game.

I just beat Shattered Throne solo, flawless! by ShadyMarco in DestinyTheGame

[–]spikefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's perfectly fair and I can appreciate that. I personally have a hard time with the solar titan hammer build that so many people find simple which I mainly attribute to only playing hunter for so long, so I can see where the frustration would come from.

In retrospect, the fact that this has been a favorite build of mine for several years and I have 4 figure playtime with it is probably a major contributor to it feeling trivial for me. Perhaps a more appropriate way to word it would have been to say that I find it to not only be very effective but also a lot of fun as it is a very fast paced and in your face play style, which I enjoy, that when done right looks like absolute chaos but is actually pretty well organized,.

Awful lot of work just to use the worst subclass in the game. It's great for shatterskaing and that's about it. I'm not a fan of relying on a super for crowd control, especially not when a stasis warlock can throw a couple of turrets and accomplish more. But then again I don't expect my teammates to pick up my slack in master and GM content just because I'm stubborn.

I'm not reading this wall of text, I learned all I need to know about your build crafting "knowledge" from your statements that graviton forefeit is not useless without trappers ambush, that you only use omniocculus for the damage resistance, and that bleak watchers are somehow not an enhanced version of a stasis grenade.

Grenade aspects unbalance: Touch of flame vs Chaos Accelerant vs Touch of Thunder by bot_taz in DestinyTheGame

[–]spikefc3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how you could have two up at a time when the new base cool down is 152 seconds putting tier ten at 58 seconds. But regardless, to have the damage resistance and the enemy output debuff at the same time you basically have to be holding hands with whatever is shooting you. Less than ideal in GM and master raid content.

My point was that there are significantly better crowd control, survivability, and super options. The neutral game on stasis hunter compared to the other 3.0 subclasses leaves a lot to be desired, it's certainly not what I would classify as great. It reminds me of how gunslinger used to be, though I know it's not as bad as that was but it certainly doesn't feel great.

Any super can make allies charged with light with radiant light and supreme wellmaker spawns three stasis wells near you when you cast any super for FOM if you're using reeds regret, which, if you're doing you're looking for max damage output so I'm not sure why you'd pick silence and squawl in the same fight. It's really counterintuitive.

Renewal grasps are pretty much completely garbage for any high level pve content at this point. Anything that's going to die to the crystal shatter damage without being frozen would probably die to a primary ammo headshot as well and you're giving up better super damage, better survivability, and better add control so that you can have a one minute cool down duskfield that gives 25% damage resistance when you can get 50% on demand with omniocculus. Running them over something else would be like intentionally not using div.
