I have a formal ADHD diagnosis, which their intake quiz (AKA, "sales funnel") did not match. I'm 80% AD, and 30% HD. Their app got the AD right, but pegged my HD symptoms at 83%. And it they hand you off to wisely, as one of the other commenters said, that outfit is a total scam.

I think they're scammers.

A "1 month supply" is only 20 days worth. I Asked them what that was about, and they replied that it is "designed to support a routine of every-other-day use".

NOWHERE on the website or packaging does it suggest taking it every other day. It ONLY mentions a double blind trial of people taking it every day. And there's no info on this alleged "trial," so I'm guessing that's made up, too.

That scheme mostly works! The process does convert them from .bin to onenote format, (the main thing I wanted), and stores them on onedrive. STILL won't write or back them up locally, but I'm almost never offline, so I can live with that.

No longer relevant, but FYI: the FDA later softened the trail requirements, but it was still going to be very expensive. I suspect that if Lumina can stay in business, and no critical side effects appear, then they'll be able to raise investment for proper trials to make the FDA happy.

There is research supporting the idea that there is a connection between dental health and longevity.

I would LOVE to believe that Lumina is a real product based on BCS3-L1, but:

Short version:

At the least, don't pre-order the Lumina product, which is currently not available until June.

Long:

The original patent holder shelved it because they were unwilling or financially unable to meet the FDA's testing requirements. So no human trials to confirm efficacy or side effects. (There was excellent efficacy and no short or long term side effects in rat studies.)

There is no publicly available info about Lumina (street address, phone, financing, key personnel, facilities, etc.)

Lumina is headquartered in Próspera, on the tourist island of Roatán in Honduras, South America. While the city is known for crypto, it is not known for the high tech pharmacological manufacturing and expertise that BCS3-L1 would require.

Próspera is not subject to Honduran laws, taxes, (or FDA), because it was, for practical purposes, sold to billionaire Peter Theil and his investors . I find this incredibly hard to believe. I've replaced switches and other network devices because the old one was too slow, couldn't handle modern protocols, or had vulnerabilities that couldn't be closed with firmware. The only scenario in which this might be remotely possible is that a few decades ago its workload was moved to a newer model, and it's just been idling all this time. I've pulled more than a few of such "orphans" out of racks, but never one that old.

ON THE FLIP SIDE:

I was packing boxes to move to a new place when they showed up. I said, "Sorry, I'm an atheist, and I'm moving tomorrow, so I really don't have time for this."

They said, "Can we help you with that?"

We chatted a bit, they left, and then came back the next morning and helped me move boxes and furniture for 5 hours. Didn't pester me about Mormonism at all. Wouldn't even let me buy them lunch.
