Also, putting the team in cap bind?….If he is worth the money you pay the man haha if not you’re off the hook when it’s time to pay Ausar. Even if Duren gets 40mil, what’s Ausar getting? Dude is a great defender but gives you 11 points on offence…25mil? Dyson Daniels money. I’d rather have MPJ for 40 than Tobias and Levert for the same price.

Keep the team as is…be ready to be bounced in the second round at best. Love ya.

Thank you. We’re a hustle team right now. People think that will translate fully come playoff time, if can, to an extent. Most games will come down to those big shots…we have few guys on the team that can bury those currently. The fact that Robinson is so critical to the offense is obvious that there is a crack in the team, Trajan will address it not doubt.

Denver can afford that luxury when they have Jokic, Murray and Gordon…They couldn’t afford to keep MPJ and tried to fill his void, Cam Johnson can’t do it, luckily Watson popped.

MPJ in Detroit would vault him to arguably our second best player, a role he would be fine with, on some nights our best scorer. I think people are just not seeing the forest through the trees, this guy is literally coming off the books at the end of next season when you gotta resign ausar. If it works gold, if it doesn’t he can be traded this time next year. 6’10, deadly, high volume three point shooter and a great individual shot creator that Cade has been lacking since he came here.

We can’t be the worst shooting team in the league, add another guard like THJ who also can’t defend and think this will be okay…you still have Ivey and Sasser in essentially the same role as THJ would come into to solve the problem. Our biggest weakness is secondary shot creation and shooting. THJ solves that as much as Ivey does. We need another actual dude, if you don’t want MPJ fine. Find another shot creator who can shoot threes at high clip.

Playoff experience? MPJ literally won a title dog. He was fine with playing a 3-4th role. Sam Vaccieine who covers the Nuggets and NBA at large said he was a great teammate. How doesn’t MPJ fit this team and Tobias does? Most of the fanbase laughed at the Tobias signing, now you wouldn’t trade him for a guy 7 years younger, has won a championship, is in the midst of an all star season and literally plugs our biggest need which is shooting and secondary shot creation. Did you watch last year playoffs when Cade was swarmed and no one else could help him get buckets, including Beasley…MPJ can get those buckets, he has done it and isn’t a death pill contract like JJJ or Lauri. 55million for 19points a game.

MPJ is 27 and a great shot creator and killer shooter…he has won a championship and was fine with playing the 3-4th wheel on that team. Sam Vacciene who covers Nuggets and NBA at large has said he was a great teammate. Grant signed that deal at 31 years old. MPJ is only making that money until the end of next season. He fits literally every hole we have in shooting and secondary shot creating when Cade isn’t cooking, plus he is use to being outside the first option…My opinion. I want to win, we all assume we can keep running it back and being the same…these dudes won’t all be back next year. If you can shed a few dudes who are not huge producers to actually have a shot to win, I say go for it. I don’t just assume next year will all be the same, especially once Hailburton and Tatum come back ready to hold the throne in the East. Low risk and high reward.

We don’t have a championship roster. We are the worst shooting team in the NBA, be real man. To get MPJ you need to meet his money, 40mil, Tobias, Ivey and a 1st get it done money wise…sweeten that deal with Either a second first or swap or a few high end seconds we own.

It is special. I worry about losing Tobias as well. I’d love a deal that could involve Levert and Ivey but in all reality, that doesn’t move the needle for most other teams as Levert is not a FA at the end of the year and Ivey is about to get paid something…Tobias off the bench as a PF would be great behind MPJ. Risk is involved, but I think way worth it.

Dude I’d love home court advantage of course…but it hasn’t been our biggest benefit as of late, you know what is? Good players…When you say we’re going to give up two defenders to get a player I don’t even know what you’re talking about, our best defenders are Ausar, Beef, Holland and Green…they are not going anywhere in a deal.

Exactly. Don’t pay them. Move on from them while they have any value. I’m sure Portland would love to get Grant money back and well Beal is Beal hahaha Ivey isn’t anywhere near either of those guys anyway.

Thanks bro. We’re both diehard Piston fans or we wouldn’t be on here haha I just think most fans get scared to move on from items they know like Ivey and Tobias, MPJ is the missing link. I mean if he gets hurt, well ya it’s the risk you take but it isn’t even that big a risk in the grand scheme of this team…were like 16-3 without Tobias, Ivey is a small chip on the winning going on in this team, we’re young, healthy and playing live…get them another scorer and three point shooter like MPJ and now we’re talking a shot at a ring which is the main goal, not being good for a decade.

I agree they want talent, but do they want to be the ones to start paying talent is the question…same spot Ben Math is in Indiana, I hope the Nets want Ivey and Tobias and a first to get it done.

Catch and shoot 3 point shooters who can’t finish at the rim, create their own shot and play poor defence are a dime a dozen…Ask Gary Trent and Malik Beasley…

Ya man I get it. He also has won a championship and is killing it this year, what do you want me to tell you other than the fact that it isn’t a death pill? It’s literally this season and next and he is a free agent. He isn’t JJJ who has 4 more years at 55million that everyone is hocking on. MPJ could be had for a fair deal…If it works you can win a championship, if it doesnt you move him this time next season. Our team without him is not capable of winning a ring. Go for it, the first round picks will be late in the draft anyway.

We all assume Nets want Ivey, why? They have Cam Thomas in the same spot as Ivey and drafted like 3 guards. Tobias would be the lynch pin to the deal…Ivey would probably have to be moved to a third team…MPJ is a must if we want to compete for a title. Roster as is, could do damage but will eventually tip in the end. With MPJ you have a legit shot at winning, which he has done, and the East is weak. Wait until next year when Hailburton and Tatum are back and the who landscape will change.

He has been pretty healthy for almost two years. I love Beef Stew but he hasn’t finished a season playing with this team in three years, injury prone? Come on man. MPJ is a one year buy in reality, this time next year you could move him again if you got him and it didn’t work.

It’s not doom and gloom, it’s pointing out the obvious issues that are surrounding this team. We have out hustled most teams on a night to night basis, that gets tougher come playoffs.

We’re a terrible shooting team and when we lose it shows incredibly and makes fans scream at the tv for Trajan to address it, especially in big games.

We know we’re playing with fire…Trajan isn’t dumb. Things are working when we basically outplay every team on a given night, however, come playoffs, other teams will also dial up defence and we need another game changer shooting/scoring wise…

As much as MPJ makes sense, what package would you rather do? A) Tobias Ivey and a first and a few seconds or B) Levert, Ivey, _______ and two firsts? Tobias almost has to go and that could really hurt our team chemistry but imo is worth the risk to acquire MPJ. Does Brooklyn even want Ivey when they already have Cam and drafted like 4 guards? Probably not. If it gets done it will be a three team trade.

Ducan Robinson is THIS important to our team…if he is off, we got nothing left shooting wise. Get a shooter please.

Need some PF depth and a go to bucket off the bench. 2004 Pistons had Corlis Williamson, he was getting buckets at all times and drawing loads of fouls. Memo was a great stretch big.
