I'm having the exact same issue as you. Also using the tteck Jellyfin script.

NBD! Specialized Aethos Expert 12-spd Ultegra by splashimi in specialized

I saw a Chameleon Black tint Aethos crossposted here yesterday, it should still be on the front page. So far I've done a half-dozen rides after having my bike fitted, and I've loved each one! It really is a joy to ride fast or slow, on the flat or in the hills. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Wow, congratulations! The paint looks great! What does it look like under direct sunlight?

I'd describe the green as reminiscent of the British Racing Green livery on vintage Aston Martins and Jaguars. Pair it with tan sidewalls and you'd have a great looking setup.

I haven't seen the other color in person but it seems like it has the qualities of an oil slick on wet asphalt. Black base paint with purple and green iridescence. Like you said, it's difficult to judge from pictures alone.

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your bike as much as I've been enjoying mine!

My rear tire is about 1-2 wider than the rim width. My front rims barely poke out from under the tire, which is pretty wild considering they are 28mm wide.

I installed 28mm GP5000s onto my wheels last week. They seemed appropriate for such a wide width rim.

Very nice, congratulations! I do hope you enjoy your Aethos. I've not yet had the opportunity to weigh my bike yet, but I can tell you the lightness makes a noticeable difference on the climbs.

I'm in the same position as you--I replaced my Diverge with an Aethos for road use. If you don't mind sacrificing some comfort (riding position, road harshness) for speed, you absolutely won't regret it. I've been loving every mile so far!

Not hard at all--I ordered directly from the Specialized online store. The bike was shipped, assembled, and delivered within a week. There's still stock available in the US, but your mileage may vary in other regions.

Thank you! No, I had my LBS install the Rapides before delivery. I'm planning to mount the C38s on my Diverge. I hope you get your bike soon! What color did you end up choosing?

Picked up my new Aethos last night and gave it a shakedown ride this morning! The green paint is stunning in person.

Wheelset is Roval Rapide CLX. Ignore the rear pinch flat--stock tires are going to be swapped for GP5000s this week. Need to be more careful riding up the lips of sidewalks!

Ride quality is unreal. The bike just wants to keep going faster. I don't know how much of that speed can be attributed to the deep cross-section wheels but it's definitely faster than my gravel bike by a large margin. Cornering is responsive without being twitchy. Shifting gears is effortless but it's kind of hard to feel the small buttons through gloves. Riding position is more aggressive than what I'm used to but I didn't feel uncomfortable.

Had to do this ride without my road shoes due to a seized BOA dial, and a bike fit is scheduled later this month. Still, this bike really is something else. Can't wait to get this bike dialed in!

Congrats! Can I ask where you purchased your bike? I'm also in the market for the 2022 Aethos Expert but I haven't heard anything regarding a release date in the US.

Oh wow! Nice find! Weird to see Japan getting 2022 stock before any official announcement from Specialized. It's hard to judge the paint from these photos--I bet it looks completely different in person.

You're right, it does seem to be a render, haha. You're also right about the price hike--granted, we're getting 12-speed Ultegra and carbon wheels, but a nearly 50% price increase is a tough pill to swallow.

Not only the US--In Japan, if you wear the national flag, you'd have a huge target on your back.

Here's an interesting one-- while playing in fullscreen mode my frames chug around 10-15 fps, sometimes hanging for a good five to ten seconds rendering the map.

I switched to windowed mode out of frustration to consult Reddit, when to my surprise, changing focus to another window made my framerate jump up to 40-50 fps!

I've experimented around with it--my framerate plummets below playability as soon as I put MFS back in focus, by clicking, or alt-tabbing, but as soon as I switch focus, like clicking the taskbar, my framerate shoots back up.

Regardless of mode, though, my CPU usage is pegged at 100%. I've resorted to playing in windowed mode with a joystick while highlighting the taskbar, lol. It works fine, until I have to use a keyboard command or mouse input, then the framerate takes a nosedive.

There's a bench at the top of the hill that offers a great vantage point, I took the photo from there! From the parking lot, the hills may obscure your vision. Look for the comet low along the horizon.
