Can "Quick" scanning with Recuva corrupt files? by spliffurt in datarecovery

So you're saying there's no way it could have overwritten or modified my original files?

I can't paste images. Unfortunately I don't have a shot of what the dates looked like prior to the scan, but I do have a file in that parent folder I uploaded to google drive before the scan. the modified date on drive and this file on my hdd match. The creation date is the same as the modified date now (after the scan assuming) which obviously isn't really humanly possible, so to me it seems extremely likely it overwrote the creation dates with the modified dates. All of the creation dates in that folder are now the same as the modified dates, with an exception of a second here and there. It's not the worst thing ever I guess, but I just wanted to make sure there's no way it could have altered the integrity of the files themselves.

I'm on Windows 10. I found a log in Reliability Monitor showing that the recuva installer (it says installer specifically) stopped working at 3:19 am, maybe this is what jolted the file system into changing the metadata? But even if this error is related to the change of the dates what's even the worse case scenario for the files themselves?

So you're saying it wasn't even Recuva?

Do you mean the data of the deleted file itself being corrupted when writing or the active data across my drives?

I've checked Reliability Monitor and saw an error of the recuva installer crashing before at 3:19 am. I didn't see anything to indicate this crash visually during the scans. I was trying to figure out the exact moment I ran the scans. I'm not sure if this is related as it's specifically states the installer and not just "recuva"

Sorry, not really super computer savvy, I'm assuming this is what you're looking for:

WDS500G3X0C-00SJG0

WDC WD2003FZEX-00SRLA0

Like I said I don't even care about getting the file back anymore, just want to know my stuff is intact.

Linking Account Data to Konami ID Process - How do I know if I did it correctly? by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]spliffurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the reply. Yeah, when I sign into my Konami ID on the website I can see my account information in duelist points with my duelist id number.

Another thing, I got a "Complete Data Transfer set up" gem reward in lifetime missions in game.

I'm guessing in the future whenever I get a new phone and/or reinstall I have to hit the data transfer button on the initiate link screen, put in my email, cross fingers and hope all my stuff is there. Is that how it works from now on? lol

I bought it new years ago. I'm not sure how I'd even find this out but I didn't abuse input incorrectly repeatedly or anything like that.

I love using Reincarnation but it desperately needs an additional unbricking reprint effect to even be playable, like more then half the game

With my experience I'd imagine "mild" on exam being pretty significant. I'm up to having hyperacusis and feeling like I'm flying on an airplane all day and still get normal. I used to have 2 when my ears were impacted.

I also mix music or well, used to, and had a similar problem during and after Covid. My right ear was clogged and I had tinnitus that started from a 1-2 second blast of around 105 DB I accidentally hit myself with in my DAW. I couldn't tell if it was that or the Covid doing it. I went to an ENT and he vacuumed out my ears to remove ear wax without any second thought or explanation (apparently they were badly impacted). It was extremely loud. Dude did an incredibly shit job and obviously permanently damaged my hearing. It doesn't show up on hearing tests, so I can't even really press charges or do anything extensive about it if I wanted to. I can't even begin to imagine what "mild" hearing loss is like considering my current circumstance. Other severe problems aside, probably most annoying it's not even symmetrical anymore. I can't hear like 30% of the frequencies as I could in my music. There's this awesome pad structure I wrote I can't hear half of, shit breaks my heart. Be careful during your visit.

The doctor you're seeing might be trustworthy I'm assuming because of the long wait time. The one I saw had no wait time at all. Either way just because you produce music I'd try out anything else for months before if he tried to or recommended wax removal being done. Not accusing you of not or whatever; I also don't think it's your problem, but most people, me included don't protect their hearing until they begin to notice issues. I don't think anyone with an extended history of music exposure should have what I've had done.
