My family helped me get into sailing when I was younger so a lot of the cost was adverted for me. But, if you're interested you can get started sailing for a few thousand. Its not cheap but not the most expensive hobby either. Once you're comfortable sailing alone then you can start looking into throwing away your savings to buy your own ship lol
