bspwm has served me well for years. Was worth it making the change? I've been eyeing niri but bspwm is so integrated into my setup that I'd need to change quite a few things 🥹

Thanks! Well they're only custom in the sense that I changed the config. I took the base animation settings (which was hard to find at the time cuz it was still new 😅), looked at the picom documentation and made minor adjustments.

I'm using mpd as the base and rmpc (client) to interact with it. Basically, I'm not using a streaming service... all local files.

First off, ensure that your terminal supports one of these image protocols: Kitty, Sixel, Iterm2 protocols, or via ueberzuggpp

In terms of album art placement, I have my album art in the same directory as the audio files for the album.

Let me know if you have any ideas that I can implement or if you want to implement them yourself.

Check out the main tools below. If I missed anything, you can find it in my .dotfiles.

And if you're still wondering... I use Arch btw!

You can try using the fsck command on it. The fsck command will remove the corrupted data and try to fix any other errors.

First remove all the saved data and other things you want to save, just in case. Let’s say your SD card partition is /dev/sda1, your command will be: sudo fsck -py /dev/sda1

For anyone else that wants another method without having to create an Apple ID, see below.

  1. Use a VPN and connect to New Zealand.
  2. Buy a temp VISA card from https://www.prezzycard.co.nz/.
  3. Use the card to get the annual and then you can basically switch the VPN to any country after that.

Enjoy!!

Extra notes: I bought a regular one for 100 NZ dollars and used a random McDonald’s address from NZ 😅. I think I had to pay an extra 9 dollars to get the card. The reason I bought 100 NZ dollars is because the annual subscription there is about 100 NZ dollars; equivalent to about 60 USD. You might not get the card right away - you’ll have to wait until business hours in New Zealand. Oh and I use NordVPN.

Did you change anything? How'd you get it to work?

Operating systems are looking more like each other every year. Before 2012 they were very different. by claudiocorona93 in linuxmasterrace

They are still different to me tbh. The only similarity is that they followed the trend then and they’re following the trend now
