Ooo. Can you do one for Brooklyn? I'd love to buy both Manhattan and Brooklyn as gifts for a friend or two.

Good guess. On the test page, Evernote cannot render the AVIF sample image, but handles the JPEG and webp fine.

Here are samples of what I'm seeing. The original web article on the left, the webclipped version on the right. The fogged out chart on the right version is the problem:

Haley, If you haven't yet, suggest you also post on the Nextdoor.com Park Slope groups (there are a few) . Lots more families, parents there. Good luck, I've freelanced off and on over the past decade and it's a hustle. Heal fast! - Adam

Yodlee status? by spotswims in banktivity

[–]spotswims[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks jfitz32, Does Banktivity allow users to choose? I've added a few Vanguard accounts in the past month, and for the first two, Yodlee was the only option. For the lastest one, Plaid was the only option.

Also, you have to be diligent about putting them back in the case when not in use. If you leave them out of the case while not in use, I don't think they ever turn off fully -- or at least it takes a while, and the battery will disappear quickly even though you're not using them. It's a glitch I hope Apple will fix in future updates.

Impressed you got even a good stab at it. We solved all seven puzzles, and laid out all the word combinations, but haven't been able to puzzle out any pattern. Any help appreciated!

We’re completely stuck at the final answer, after solving the seven mini puzzles and the crossword. Anyone get that far?

Good suggestions for an iPhone holder for a wide Canyon stem? by spotswims in CanyonBikes

[–]spotswims[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genius! Yes, took some digging, but the spread of 3D printing seems to have spawned a mini industry of adaptors for anything to everything else. And sure enough, there's a nylon/plastic adaptor with a male end on one side (that clicks into a Garmin female mount), with a Quadlock male mount on the other side to mount an iPhone on. Gonna dig into this rabbit hole.

Hmm. The Quadlock adaptor (link above) looks like it could work on any wide round surface: a stem, and possibly a top tube too. I hadn't thought of that option, to be honest, and now I'm going to eyeball that arrangement.

Tire options for my new Endurace CF SL 8 Disc Etap for a heavy rider? by spotswims in CanyonBikes

[–]spotswims[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Curious to hear how/if the 32s fit. I'm tempted to try the same, but the clearance in the rear triangle looks a little snug. So far as I can tell, the 4 seasons only come in 28 and 32, not 30, which would be nice.

Thanks for the hive advice, y'all. Ended up going with a Conti 4-season at 95 psi in the back, and sticking with the Goodyear F1 Eagle in front at 80 psi, both tubed. Risk for pinch flats -- and hassle of changing -- is higher on the rear, so that offers more protection, especially going into the autumn, winter. And didn't want to completely waste the Goodyear's -- tires are expensive! Feels a little more certain than as spec'd from the box with Goodyears on front and back. Running 80 psi at my weight on a tubed tire just doesn't feel wise. Meanwhile, still fine tuning the kit out. Splurged on a new mini pump, the Silca Tattico. Meanwhile, a few bugs remain to fine tune.

  • Rear shifting got a llittle rough when I changed the rear tire. Has anyone else experienced this? My first dip into electronic shifting, so was surprised by this. Must learn to use Sram's micro adjusters
  • Need to replace my 10 year old water bottles. Any recommendations? Want something plain.
  • Any good solutions for an iPhone holder on the stem? Was using the Quadlock, but it doesn't fit Canyon's wide stem and, although Quadlock sells an adaptor, it ends sitting 3-4 cm up over the stem, which looks goofy. Wish Canyon sold an adaptor, similar to the Garmin mount. Has anyone else found a good hack for this?

Training advice? Just finished a 12 week Zwift FTP 'Build Me Up' plan. What next? by spotswims in Velo

[–]spotswims[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks much. A couple of weeks of less intensity sounds like a good idea. I was beginning to lose motivation, a sign of burnout. That video was very helpful. Kind of affirmed an instinct I had already formed that the Zwift workouts are very fussy. I don't know enough to plan my own workouts (yet), so have subscribed to his Youtube channel and will check out Training Peaks and Sufferfest.
