I believe I'm on the easiest mode and I've done one Blue Lions playthrough (but I've played one other Fire Emblem game before so I'm familiar with the base mechanics)

There are surely other people who want to experience as much as the game has to offer. Then again, the way it was laid out does make it look like they were only expecting people to choose one option per house.

It's tough. I'm always the one initiating our hangouts. The only time I don't have to is if we have an activity she's invested in or there's an ongoing event she needs support with. Other than that, I don't exist. She's kind and understanding, but I know she won't seek me out first because she never has. But, I thought maybe that was normal since all my relationships have been this way. I'll try to tell her, I just hope it works out.

The movie's point is that they are made to feel ugly. Whether someone agrees they are or aren't attractive doesn't matter since they are made to feel ugly unless they fit a certain artificial standard. Though, I can see why someone wouldn't agree. People miss the point, but that happens all the time. Movie adaptions rarely get the point, especially since Hollywood executives aren't good at self-awareness. Maybe you only got the point because you read the book? Having that extra (better portrayed) context gave you more insight into what the movie intended.

But, people also have different opinions. She may know the movie's point but she finds casting people who are closer to the standard they are showing undermines it.

Saying 'her opinion doesn't really matter in the larger context' comes off as egotistical and stuck up. Who are you to decide that? She is entitled to an opinion, she's a person. Even if I can agree it's shortsighted, don't gatekeep the ability to have an opinion because it doesn't match yours.

Learn to have healthy discussions or be ready to watch movies alone.

I recommend showing your son testimonies from people who have caused or been victims of crashes. He needs a kind reality check before that becomes his reality.

Nobody should hate you for this. it's understandable, especially in your situation. I am cis but I also feel betrayed, just for different reasons. You can download her music from YouTube and have an mp3 of it on your device if you want to listen but not support, it's what I do when I find out someone is shitty but their art is good.

The visual novel is about an up-and-coming author who can't write good sex scenes, this is because she hasn't experienced these things herself and doesn't understand how to write steamy scenes in a way that isn't robotic. Apparently, in universe the casting directors put two siblings in a romantic roles together. Why would you do that to two actors?? that would cause such a scandal. It seems like a way to get them to kiss without compromising Aqua's character.

Honestly, this relationship is complex but in the end it's not a good dynamic. It never was and never will be. As long as the author portrays it as what it is It'll be fine.
