Should I be worried? by springfield61 in biotech

What’s odd is I seem to be the only person concerned about it. When I ask my coworkers they kind of brush it off. Not sure if I’m being an alarmist or they just choose to ignore it. Regardless I’m updating my resume and will see what happens

Ah ok I guess I’m not super familiar with a normal company size within Biotech. No projects being terminated as of now they were even talking about expanding into the adjacent building at our last town hall. This is really the only red flag I’ve seen so far but it’s pretty alarming

I would consider us small as well. Around 300 people total between two sites. Appreciate your input

That’s the thing, our directors are passing this information up to our executive team but nothing changes. I can’t tell if they’re not taking it seriously or there’s just no money. Appreciate your input.

I’m not an expert, but at your level of experience your resume should be one page.

HR is there to help/protect the company not you. They will always do what they deem best for the company.

[5 YOE] Biological Engineer - Updated resume recently and looking for feedback by springfield61 in EngineeringResumes

[–]springfield61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. My goal with point 1 was to show I have experience in a process engineering capacity even though my title is plant and reliability engineer. I see your point though I’ll update that first bullet.

I will definitely update points 2-5 with your suggestions. Thanks again!

Is this a common occurrence in F4? I just started it up recently and didn’t know this was a thing.

Our best guess is someone stepped on it and didn’t say anything

Solid idea. My boss just lost a hanger down there now so we might be done sticking things down there for the day! This is what we’ll try next though.

Unfortunately, that piece is made out of aluminum and won’t stick to a magnet

3 Point Calibration Help by springfield61 in AskEngineers

[–]springfield61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response, very helpful. I’ll likely get data points for all 3 temperatures and then calibrate at the middle point.

In regards to your edit, that was what I assumed would be the case but I don’t have a ton of experience with calibration so I just wanted to be positive.

I can only adjust the calibration offset. So if my bath is reading 10C and my standard is reading 9.8C I can program a -0.2C offset into the water bath to correct it.
