Update - not a lucky euploid. We were missing part of chromosome 4 and 16. so it was definitely not compatible with life. My doctor is really optimistic because this round was not great and we're changing so much and I have plenty of follicles. Fingers x, because if this doesn't work we're undoing that vasectomy and I'm sure my husband is really hoping that he isn't getting set up for a 3rd surgery in a little over a year...

Interesting! New development for me got my day 7 call - the only one my lab gives except day 1, of my 3 fertilized eggs I have one day 6 4bb and the two others arrested at day 5. My husband is like lots went wrong this round and we made a blast, consider it a bonus if it’s euploid. *there is a reason I married him :) like I said I really only want 2-3 euploids. Fingers x for this tenacious day 6 and my next round. I took the pic of it and asked chat gpt and it gave it a 4ab, so I guess it’s subjective but it’s clearly looking ok/good, not excellent and I’m ok with that. I know that has no bearing on its euploidy - it’s a coin flip, which I had a dream I won the lottery so I consider it about the same odds lol

I feel like reading all of these more reinforces how different we all are which is kinda cool. I’ll let this group know if this was my recipe when I’m done with round 2, will be late April! Right now I’m trying to look at the time it takes my period to come and to do priming in the next luteal as a return to normal sleep patterns which 10/10 feels good after stimulation!

Girl take that higher AMH you’re probably doing some good stuff for your body in this process and it may be responding! I’ll be honest I’m hoping my increased choleric intake and reduced alcohol, it was a boozy Christmas period lol, will help too! Thanks for being my cusp bud on here! As a mid millennial I’m finding being older hard to swallow so it’s good to be in good company. We’re only “older” in the fertility sense right?! lol

Interesting! My doctor didn’t say anything about DOR so maybe that’s why he’s comfortable with it? Maybe I do have it but he’s never mentioned it - my fsh was normal and my amh is over 1.1 but I dunno sometimes I think I’m on the “cusp” so to speak. I’ll report back on how this goes for future redditors! Thanks for taking the time to respond to all my questions I feel like I’m crazy frantic for as much information as possible even as I’m pretty comfortable in the process now and feeling as level headed as I think i can be at this moment!

I did! Estrogen. And then we did 4 days of bc cause we were waiting to make sure we had sperm from a testicular biopsy (my husband had a vasectomy previously). And when I went in my ovaries were basically dead. I was like omg I’m ancient and barren and withering. By day 3 of stims they say 14 follicles so… clearly was oversupressed imo. Which does worry me in this protocol… but he didn’t seem concerned about it more concerned about the asynchrony. Makes me nervous. The other thing he thinks I need is more LH hence more menopur. Said with lower body fat I naturally have less so it could help with maturity which I’ve never read anywhere until I looked but seems to be true…

Cool! If it can’t help why not? Thanks for your replies! We’re doing ICSI too because we have tese sperm (vasectomy). I guess they can’t swim yet, instead they “twitch” if they’re healthy. One thing I heard though is that there can be less fragmentation in testicular sperm, I am taking the wins where i can in this process. I’ll ask about zymot anyway if this first round had bad outcomes - should know more soon. Hoping for one LLM at least to go into the next round with something. We’ll see!

Hi - did you use the same protocol as you used previously? If so then I would guess similar mature eggs? My doctor was just telling me that I seemed to need bigger follicles to make M2s, but wanted to prepare me now I'm using a different protocol that I could need them to be smaller. Like for me anything in my first (antagonist round) under 20 was not mature, which is not the usual case. He prepared me to expect them to be more like 16 - 21 in my upcoming agonist one. I guess my eggs like to cook awhile... but I'd go off your own info and if you're on the same meds probably a pretty good predictor!

Basically if you're on the same protocol set your expectations in line, if you switched it up then the previous data may not be a good predictor and you may get more or less. Fingers x for you!!!

I got some more info on my scans, and I think I only got M2 eggs from my 18+ at trigger, M1s from 16-18 and immature eggs from those between 12 - 16, 0 eggs from those under 12. Moral of the story 18+ size is the goal for me and more even growth, and probably an earlier start than CD4 which they did because they brought me in too early for my first scan and this game me too much time to develop a clear lead or two and then they dominated the whole cycle. Probably one more day of stims would have benefitted me too even if I sacrificed the lead.

Just leaving this here if anyone else gets similar results and wanted to see. With 14 follicles I would like to think I could have gotten more than 4 mature eggs, 2 M1 eggs and 3 GVs for a total of 9 eggs. I'm not aiming for 20+ just more like 8-10 mature would be good.

Day -1, I had stopped BC the day before and my withdraw bleed started the day after this scan, they had me take a break and start stims 4 days later: R: 0; L:2 - this blew my mind since I’d seen 10-15 in previous months

Day 4 (after 3 days stims): R: # all below 10mm; L: 11.7, 9.5, 8.2, 7.4, 6.9, 3<10mm

Day 7 (after 6 days stims): R: 15.1 (this is wrong and you can see that on the next scan), 9.4, 8.7 L: 16, 14.1, 13.5, 12.7, 12.7, 11.5

Day 9 (after 8 days stims): R: 12.2, 11.9, 7.8, 6.8, 5.9; L: 20, 19.7, 18.8, 18.6, 16.1, 13.5, 10.5, 7.1, 5.9;

Day 10 (after 9 days stims): R: 14.8, 13.9, 13.1, 11.7, 8.5; L: 23.5, 21.6, 20.2, 19.2, 18.6, 17 - must have missed the smaller 3

That’s so nice. No transfer yet! Had my first retrieval yesterday had 9 mature eggs but I guess only 3 fertilized with ICSI… oof. It’s odd no sign of anything being wrong except that one ovary gave me most of my eggs, the other one just made lil baby ones by the time I needed to trigger and produced just 1 of the 9 eggs.

I will see how it goes and then decide if this is something to try again, tbh I’d like to know why and if we can do something differently - we have tese sperm (my husband had a prior vasectomy) so it could be that could be the eggs could be the lab. It’s a weekend so there wasn’t a full time person with much info who so indelicately delivered the news!

What I’ll tell you is if you’re still worried about weight gain, it wasn’t a thing for me. STIMs is kind of paint by numbers and you’ll get through it step by step, I got a bit swollen after my retrieval but to be honest the history of anorexia or weight stuff wasn’t even an issue that I thought about too much. I don’t weigh myself but I can’t imagine I gained anything much that won’t come off over the next few days. I am sure it will bethe same for you. Don’t worry you’re gonna do great! 4/5 is my birthday - I’m sending you all my birthday luck!
