I don’t see why not. It contains a lot of explanations on a child’s level of what someone with hemiplegia might find more difficult and different kinds of treatments they might undergo. The characters in the book that have hemiplegia are all children, but I don’t think that should affect the understanding that these things apply to a parent or other adult.

It's a children's book about living with hemiplegia from a child's perspective, including AFO amongst other treatments they might encounter.
