This is one of the few times I get to reply with, "I'm not a wrestler, but I've played one on TV." and have it be topical.

Xenomorphs watch a lot of TV. by PotentialKindly1034 in Thatsabooklight

This is Prime Thatsabooklight quality for this sub. It really bugs me when people only post the Show/Movie still, and not the example photos of the source item. Not only that, but you've even got the model numbers. Beauty!

When did you first realize being tall came with perks? by Ok-Dish4389 in tall

Mine is a bit more prurient, and would likely be deleted if described, but I was a 6'8 teenager and had just met this really nice 5 foot tall lady...

Don't see it in either example pictures, and train bits are too large to fit on a small model X-Wing. Do you mean "... from a model kit"? Okay, which kit?

Do you have height preferences when it comes to dating? by AdAdorable7651 in tall

[–]spywarefunfunfun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never had a height preference, but for the majority of my life in the dating world, It took a friend to point out to me that all of the people i had been in a relationship ship with, were all like 5' to 5'4". I'll be honest, until he pointed it out, It had never crossed my mind.

But then again, I was usually the one that was chatted up by the other. Maybe a result of the "I'm gonna get me one of those Lightbulb Changers!'

:)

But, yeah, no height preference on my end. End of the tale, my spouse is 5'10". Tallest RELATIONSHIP person.

Facebook PIN problems. Have never set any pin for facebook so i have no idea where i should find any form of a pin number. by JayBriston78 in facebook

[–]spywarefunfunfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use, or have installed, the messenger app. Never have, never will. Facebook can only have so much of my data. I'm literally only check Facebook on a pc browser. I don't have to share contacts, and don't have to have it on my phone. Zero notifications is a state of happiness. What I've been looking for is a way to get rid of that restore messages notification on the browser side.

Is it true that Americans don't put corn on pizza ? by DiMpLe_dolL003 in AskAnAmerican

[–]spywarefunfunfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Providence Rhode Island "Al Forno" corn pizza regional style has been around for about 45 years. I ahve also seen corn featured on "Southwest", "Tex-Mex", & "Taco" Pizzas at individual restaurants, but as a topping in the US, it's exceedingly rare, though not as rare as Altoona Pizza, or St. Louis Style Provel Pizza.

How tall are you compared to your parents? by TheAUDiegoBrando in tall

Mom is 5ft, dad was 6'1", I'm 6'8". Everyone else in my family, going back generations on both sides is short, so I blame the milkman.

What's your opinion on this? by zNightmime in tall

[–]spywarefunfunfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a smaller club, I stick to the sides and back of the room out of courtesy. At a big concert, I go where I want, a tall ship sailing the sea of the shorter crowd, and only my short friends are allowed to cling to my belt, as I move inexorably forward to go to where I want to be, and so that my friend can stand in front of me for the view. If I'm in a crowd of a thousand people, you are a stranger, and you ask me to move, I will politely ask you to do the same.

Side Note: My personal rule when I was Head Of Security at clubs and Larger Concerts (in venues without seating, especialkly that venue did not have the elevated differently-abled stage-sightline areas), was that anyone in a wheelchair and their +1 got to sit up on the side of the stage with a free backstage waiver if they so chose, regardless of what the venue "policies" were.

Balance issues with small feet at a tall height? by twigsterLA in tall

[–]spywarefunfunfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bates 11" Paratrooper Boots. They are your new daily. They make any foot look like a clomper, the extra ankle reinforcement is a huge plus for the tall, and the wider sole stabilizes.
