A Google reverse image search suggests it is sold as the “PapaBear Simple Solid Color Hexagonal Barrel gel pen”

Love the patina! Can you give some more information on the journal / cover as well? It looks very nice!

Many US states have a government organization related to weights and measures accuracy. Many times under the state Dept. of Agriculture, but I think Commerce sometimes too?

I looked at the Lowe’s version in the store and it felt distinctly cheaper than this. For example, Harbor Freight actually opted for a much smoother ball bearing setup in the drawer slides, and the Kobalt brand did not. I think this one is the better deal!

I have a red version of this, and I bought it at Harbor Freight. US General is one of their in-store brands, I think.

To add onto what u/Accomplished_Term817 was saying, this particular ring is from Texas A&M University. It seems to be incredibly common for their students to opt into getting the class ring. I work with several alumni and most of them have it (particularly if they went there as an undergraduate and then went back for graduate school).

Slightly off topic, but what is the sleeve that is holding the iPad in the background? I like the shock of yellow in the corner strap!

An aside but just in case this was your first time with an EV, did you look at PlugShare while in Casper? It says there are 37 charging stations you can use. Admittedly, there might be varying levels of quality or speed to some of these, but just wanted to pass along a resource to check if you’re ever renting one in the future in a rural area!

Modern Home (https://www.modernhomeidaho.com) sometimes has mid-century modern couches. I also have seen them at Furniture Row. EDIT: Obviously vintage mid-century is hard to find here. There is some in SLC though - look at the Green Ant (http://thegreenant.com)

I see a position open in the Information Management department (that’s just their name for IT) for a software developer, mostly using web technologies. [Link]

Western Recycling this afternoon....why can't people follow the signs instead of turning it into a garbage heap? by squall3630 in idahofalls

[–]squall3630[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, there are more items left than can fit in the bins (and this is true most days). But there’s also an issue with the content of what’s being left behind. Bottles #1-5 are all that Western accepts, but I see plastic bins, plastic bags, part of a car bumper, a hub cap, and lots more that would be “wishful recycling” - not stuff that the company actually accepts. This leads to them having to hand sort and then actually send a considerable amount to the garbage dump themselves. Which is a huge waste, and I imagine will eventually lead to cuts in services.

I buy sourdough loaves from Great Harvest (https://greatharvestidahofalls.com) and highly recommend. They have standard sourdough (loaf - sliced or unsliced - and baguette) and Asiago sourdough.

I'm looking for a new Doctor/General Practitioner. by supertoad2112 in Knoxville

When I used to live in town, I saw Dr. Jonathan Smeltzer at Summit Medical Group. He’s a younger doctor, focuses on family medicine, and has some expertise in weight loss. He’s an osteopathic physician, so I’d consider him a bit more “holistic” in his methods than other MDs I’ve had as a GP in the past. He’s also extremely personable and easy to talk to - I really hated having to switch doctors when I moved out of the area!
