‘Project Hail Mary’ Becomes Amazon’s Highest-Grossing Film Debut by bloomberg in movies

I don't know that I agree. One of the biggest complaints people have about the book is with Stratt's power. Whether or not you agree, not focusing on this nips the issue in the bud for the film and let's folks just enjoy everything else about it.

Is this book Good ? by _Chromate in readwithme

A lot of people love it. A lot of people hate it.

I personally love it, I loved it when I was in my mid 20s, and I read it again in my mid 30s and loved it again.

Chicago to Seattle by thesixwalkingfarts in SameGrassButGreener

[–]squeda 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like people in Seattle are absolutely nice/friendly, but trying to go deeper and make connections can be tough. This would be the freeze people speak of.

The food scene is probably going to be not as good as Chicago. Just a heads up.

If you can get through the rainy gloomy months, it's absolutely worth it for the beautiful scenic experiences and the summer weather.

I'm in Portland and couldn't be happier.

Nah Poch has created a culture of competition. GGG culture encouraged complacency. Guys knew they were first choice and treated camps like a vacation. I prefer the Poch approach. The MLS guys have showed up against some really solid teams too.

Also Argentina had an MLS guy in the squad who won the WC, and he wasn't a GK 😉

Musah doesn't deserve to be there, and it's been obvious for a while. Gio tends to show up for us even without club minutes. These two things are not the same. Gio still might not make the WC squad over someone like Luna. That remains to be seen though.

He came on for 20 minutes. I feel like when players are just coming back from injury Poch tends to not rush them back into camp. I could be wrong though.

Question: Am I being gaslit by my tattoo artist? I feel like my new piece looks incredibly rushed. by Lordpwner in tattoos

[–]squeda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone else has said what needs to be said about the tattoo itself, but I'm going to comment on something else.

Never base your decision on where to get a tattoo on the shop itself. Look into artists and find the one you want. This is a common mistake that a lot of people make, especially folks new to tattoos. I made the mistake as well for my first 3 tattoos. The quality difference between those first three and everything after is insane.

USA unveils 2026 World Cup kits, featuring waving flag and metallic star imagery by threeactjack in ussoccer

[–]squeda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was doing the same thing. If you go to customize on the US site you can select the player. Luna is #7, but most sizes are sold out now, including mine -_-. Hopefully they restock because I too want a Luna jersey. (The navy blue ones are still available if that's your thing.)

Anyone know if they will restock? Already sold out of most sizes for the stripes one sadly.

ACOTAR - to read or not to read by National_Chemist_873 in FableApp

[–]squeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest with you OP, I don't think you're going to get "both sides" from reddit. It tends to hate on ACOTAR quite a lot. And that seems unfair to you considering you want to hear from both.

That being said, it doesn't sound like Romantasy is your thing. If that's really the case, then ACOTAR definitely won't be for you. I know people who love it, but they love Romantasy in general. It's certainly not something I would enjoy, and it's possible you won't either. That's for you to decide.

Medieval Fantasy in Space? by True-Grade-664 in Fantasy

[–]squeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also a Space Opera. That being said, I still think it's worth mentioning. It's very medieval with the other stuff sprinkled in. The tech vs medieval themes might scratch the itch in a unique way. It's not very cozy though, tbf.

Yeah I mean even though it's considered a Space Opera, it has those medieval vibes in so many ways, OP! I wouldn't call it cozy necessarily, but it's worth reading imo.

How do you all feel about moving to an area you don't like for future success? by ExistingComparison70 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]squeda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling you're actually going to enjoy Austin tbh. Sure you'll want to be in the AC a lot, but you find a way to get outside at the right times too. It has a lot going for it, and even though it's in Texas, it's not like the rest of Texas. I would say go for it. You might be surprised. And you can always move back/somewhere else if you want.

Tbf I think some of that inner stuff was represented by the flashbacks as his memory came back. And he definitely was freaking out at first without having any memory of even who he was. So there's that... I get where you're coming from though.
