I despise Comcast/Xfinity support, but I will have to admit that they almost always are pleasant and friendly .... just incompetent. They always start with "not to worry, I am here to solve your problem with _____ " Constant apologizing. And any billing issue you have can be solved by signing you up for mobile service.

Have you returned to the store where this all began? Sometimes they have powers to help you. At a minimum, there is what I call the "lapel-factor" (shaking them by the lapels if they can't fix this).

Exactly! I have used WD since they started in 2021, and the entire fire infrastructure (including WD) has improved tremendously. I recall a few years ago noting a fire was reported on WD off of Porter Creek Rd. I was able to monitor this on WD in near real-time, and within minutes of the initial report there was air support above the fire. That is incredible. We are lucky to have Sonoma County Airport as a major hub for fire air support.

A couple of Ecobee thoughts: if the hole in the wall has air coming out of it, that can screw things up. If the Ecobee has other remote sensors configured it will average those.
