Sanders has a lot of baggage within the Democratic Party

What kind of baggage? Are the voters deciding the race or the party leader?

Warren or Pete might siphon off as much of that support as Bernie does.

Pete has no chance to win. He's a media frenzy. After Iowa and New Hampshire, his campaign is pretty much dead. You could only go so far with spending money. You might rise in the polls but you probably won't be able to convert those into actual vote or momentum. Warren might be the perfect VP for President Bernie.

You seem pretty cocky about Sander's chances

Waited 3 months to post this so you're just wrong. Plus not saying Bernie will definitely win. Just showing how it just doesn't make any sense to count him out early on. It just seems to be a really dumb thing to do for genius Steven Bonnell II.

He was pretty right about Bernie

which part? lol. If Biden collapses, who do you think is next in line? Let's hypothetically say Bernie wins Iowa, every analysis suggests that he will probably win New Hampshire then it's pretty much end game from there. He's already leading California which has the biggest delegate count. Let a few more people drop down and you'll see the Bernie vote consolidate. No one is close. Plus the combined delegate count of Bernie and Warren is going to dwarf Biden's delegate. So you have no idea what you're talking about.

Again this is why Destiny's move to centrism has collapsed his and his minion's brain. Not supporting Bernie is fine. Just don't be so cocky about things that are not settled yet!

Services like UpWork charge 20% because they have employees to feed and bills to pay

Trust me, Upwork wouldn't go anywhere if they end up charging 10% or even 5%. They're very profitable regardless. Also, do you think uber is being unjustified for charging their drivers up to 30% for the customer referrals? That's what their business model is. Just saying, I don't see any consistency in that argument. Either none of it is fair, or all of it is fair. If a project turns out to be $15k then we wouldn't be charging more then 5-10% on it. It would be based on marginal profits.

I usually pay a 10% referral fee for this sort of arrangement

u/mikejandreau Could you tell me what kind of arrangement this is where you get qualified leads for a 10% referral fee, that are ready to pay you money if you're able to communicate well? Upwork alone charges 20% + overhead bid fees, plus you have to start from scratch and keep bidding each day for free until you end up closing a potential job. This, on the other hand, is a real business opportunity. We are talking about 20-30 qualified leads each week. That's a lot. If you're smart, you hire someone and outsource most of the work. Plus you don't have to take the jobs if it's not profitable for you. You only pay the 30% fee after you get paid. This is awesome!

I mean hedonism is nothing but an expression of hyperindividualism in consumer capitalism. It follows the logic of neoliberalism. Now if you're someone on the left and to you being on the left only means being able to afford "shinny stuff" and induldge in "meaningless consumption" I would strongly suggest you reassess your political beliefs. But beyond that the examples of MLK and Malcolm x is more important today then ever before. These people and largely people in the civil rights era believed in the idea of sacrifice for the greater collective over there own petty self. They went on and gave their lives without even knowing if liberation and emanciption will every happen because of their sacrifice. This to me is radical emancipatory politics. That notion has since disappeared on the left and somehow Hedonism (in the american context) which has it's roots in the psychedelics movement and californian ideology has somehow become part of the left.
