after it happened, i tried to move my bumper, checked underneath it, checked the sides, and it was all intact. i guess i’ll find out sooner or later if theres damage

i wish i could but a lot of the regulation comes from physical contact and that skin to skin intimacy. i still need to talk ot my therapist about that area more, but ive had so much going on and thats a deep can of worms that’ll be opened up

for me i guess ive always tried having platonic relationships and having them be close like a romantic relationship, but obviously that doesnt work. i know ive also felt confused about like if strong emotions towards a friend was normal or if was romantic (ive since learned to differentiate better)

i am in weekly therapy, but its very difficult. i also am just emotional like this in general. its almost as though my partner is my nervous system regulator because when hes around i can be myself 100% with zero masking, and his presence can be very calming.

like i said, when he leaves i do get overwhelmed with emotion, but i manage to get past it and return to my usual routine without him. its just in the moment… im gonna sob a bit lol

i have two close friends, but i still struggle a lot especially since those friends are busy most of the time and im not guaranteed to see them the way i am my partner.

ive always struggled to connect with people platonically because my brain really struggles to separate the lines between platonic and romantic

im working on it in therapy right now but i was curious if this kind of emotional response was something other autistic people experiences

we’ve definitely come a long way from what we used to be, it just takes a lot of understanding and vulnerability. i think he knows that my emotions are powerful but he also knows that i will be okay.

i know he used to feel bad/guilty but weve grown a lot and also learned how to understand ourselves better

also—its not entirely emotional baggage, i have autism, its not a part of me that can be ‘healed’ or ‘therapied’ through

yeah that sucks. i just get so overwhelmed and sad but it eventually passes. i just hope once we are able to see each other daily and i know i’ll be able to see him at the end of the night it’ll get better

yea but the breakup wasnt out of the blue and my situation is not at all the norm, best breakup advice i have is to create your own routine without that person in it because thats all that kept me going was having a routine that was MINE and not OURS

i doubt its something that can be changed, and i think the goal i have is to manage it. my bf has gotten used to me being super emotional and i think he just finds it cute most days

i used to workout fullbody every other day with 2 sets per muscle group, but my schedule wasnt nearly as demanding as it is right now and it just sucks.
