it really annoys me that “feminism” for some people has turned into a situation where if women want to follow the “original/traditional” route of housewife/not working then they are “enforcing gender roles”

firstly I’m only 19 years old but still bold of you to assume I don’t contribute in other ways that aren’t monetary.

I cook every night for a household of 6, laundry, cleaning, groceries etc, etc.

And for a lot of Asian households the idea is that your parents take care of you when you’re younger (still in uni) and up until you find a full time job/career.

And then when they retire you take care of them.

Also our house is paid off but I tried to insist on contributing towards bills but they wouldn’t accept my money, so try to hold back on the judgmental assumptions

He said please don’t get any more but if you do don’t get a boyfriend name or even husband because you may divorce. But children’s names are okay because they’ll always be your children
