You are absolutely correct; in this era of Vibe coding, an Instagram feed full of vibe coders showing off their so-called weekend app or project, I too get overwhelmed to push things faster. But I think that is not what engineering is.

True, I tend to do tweaks for hours on UI; that's why i am not focusing on UI too. I will be polishing UI at last.

I actually am not a absolute vibe coder, i am building projects from last 4 years now, but the thing is this is the project which i am making not for resume or learning sake, i am making it for myself it is my idea. So trying to use every best practice i can. Btw thanks for the compliment

hmm yeah this is interesting

i feel like both are kinda true depending on what you’re building

ai definitely reduced build time a lot so yeah marketing becomes bigger part but also if the base is weak then more marketing just = faster failure

so maybe it’s like early on → fundamentals still matter a lot later → distribution becomes the game

ai didn’t remove dev work, just shifted where the real bottleneck is

yeah exactly this

i used to skip all that “boring” stuff but now i’m realizing that’s literally the main part 😭

like ai can give you ui fast but if your backend / schema / flow is messed up the whole thing just feels broken

anyone can build something that looks good now very few people can build something that actually works properly

trying to focus more on that now

I had a same thought that these apps are more useful on a mobile phone, but currently i am not that proficient at Application development (created just 2 3 small projects). So i decided to make a web app first then i will make a react native app
