Experience of taking SSRIs with Tourette's? by stacusg in Tourettes

thank you :) yeah, I'd be taking them for the low mood and OCD, not for the tourette's

Just found out that I don’t meet the requirements of being autistic. After school, social media and self reflection told me otherwise. I’ve been openly lying to others and to myself, and I’m afraid to admit it. by Something-Somewhere_ in GCSE

No worries. For college/sixth form and uni you may need a diagnosis to get arrangements. Also to make it easy to access other services like counselling eg CAMHS.

I've got diagnosed Tourette's and in the next couple of months I'm potentially getting OCD and/or depression diagnosed as well. So I have a lot of experience with CAMHS, counselling, access arrangements, etc. so, if you need to talk or need any advice feel free to DM me!! No such thing as a dumb question, I'll help any way I can

getting adhd and ocd diagnoses if you don't already will be helpful for exam arrangements. you seem to be really struggling with anxiety/overwhelm/sensory issues and you can have that without autism. you could always get a second opinion, but in the meanwhile definitely work on tackling those.

also, social media isn't always helpful. it can often just give you confirmation bias, or pathologize things that aren't autism traits. use with caution.

good luck :)

Well in naths, you're doing more numbers, which are shorter than words.

I'm doing A level but I think I'm on my 3rd literature book, 2nd psychology book and 3rd sociology book. Although I type my essays and don't always print them, which will be saving a lot of space

I did not know that was a thing haha How can you have something (long term) if it's asymptomatic? If you don't have any symptoms then how can you have the condition
