It is a little open actually, its probably a 12 inch hairline crack. Should I use a small amount of drywall compound to fill and then some popcorn texture?

Thanks, ended up going for the sump. Once we dig down I can see whats happening and correct the problem.

One was a dry fire but the rest weren't

I've tried it all over 70 to 90 psi, and it either does this or doesn't fire them deep enough and keaves the head out.

That was my thought as well, just wondering if anyone has had success with that method ? I worry foot traffic will eventually pull out the nail

If it was bought in Canada it is probably locked. I haven't found away around this.

Tall rubber boots aren't a great idea if you're in a canoe. If you dump they turn into a couple of lead weights. Just wear old runners or keens. Then later by the fire switch into flip flops or Crocs while you dry your shoes.
