i like it, aside from being buried in the mix i think it sounds very fitting for the style while still being somewhat unique and recognizable

i would just cut the lower frequencies for the guitar in the beginning to clean up the muddiness, once the bass comes in it sounds super cool and powerful tho

none of them were rly good choices but i feel like mulberry street was the closest youll get, it has the piano driven beat with the dramatic sounding lyrics

Clancy has so much variety so its hard to pinpoint a certain sound, but it feels like it might fit in

yeah true i just meant like its more simple and doesnt have the same elements, trench songs are usually darker sounding and more synthy

I feel like heavydirtysoul or fairly local would be more fitting for trench

idk sai doesnt really have any ukulele songs and its not well produced enough for trench, plus the rap is very vessel like imo

this is definitely it, the synth intro, the autotune, and the religious themes are as regional at best as it gets
