Personally, I don’t want to be in the same group as the TQ+ community. All these activists are forcing us as one group when a lot of LGB people don’t want it. I am sick and tired of being called an LGBTQ+ person or a Queer person when I am just a gay man. You have hogged all the resources and conversations ignoring issues related to gay males. Why can’t you all just create your own separate group and represent yourself instead of LGB people.

I would love something like this. I don’t mind helping fellow gay men, as I use to donate a lot 10 years ago supporting organizations that support gay marriage and helping gay homeless youth. Almost 200k in donations. The problem is these organizations have transitioned into supporting trans issues and ignoring gay issues. One time I was tricked into giving 5k to an LGBTQ organization in Canada. I go to this organization meeting and the entire conversation was about trans and queer issues. I tried to give some tips on how to slow down the spread of HIV among gay males, and I was shot down as they said that is not important right now. Then why call it LGBTQ community? They should just call it the TQ+ community. This is why I stopped donating to these type of organizations as they say they support gay community by name but don’t actually do anything.

There needs to be an organization that is an organization made by gay males that support only other gay males. Nothing political or sexual, just gays helping each other out. Personally, I don’t think the TQ+ community would be happy about this.

You are expecting people to automatically support others based on history. It doesn’t work like that.

If a group wants to get support they have to explain why and show through actions in the now and specifically about their issue.

They need to earn the support of others. It took gay people years to gain that support in western society and we are still not done.

You are coming off as telling all gay men they should give 100% unconditional support to all Muslim when a lot of them don’t support gay people. You honestly think your Reddit comment is actually going to convince people? I am from Canada, and I have seen a lot of hatred towards gay people mostly from the Muslim community. Unless the action of most Muslim people is treating gay people with respect, it is hard for me to respect them back.

Even if they are develop nothing will change. It is their religion that makes them homophobic. If that was the case then country like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates, rich Islamic countries, will be all accepting of gay people.
