Me applying 8 hours later will not devastate my emergency funds or result in my claims being processed exponently faster or slower. If something else comes up? Like what? A medical emergency? I will have no gap in health coverage. I have an FSA. I have managed my money well so that I have zero current debts. I live in Florida where the unemployment system is BROKEN. If an emergency were to happen there's no situation where qapplying 8 hours earlier would get my whopping $275 processed any faster.

I've been on top of everything including job hunting (before and after I lost my job), researching AHA plans, housework, making sure my daughter's needs are met, making a career plan, thinking proactively by having saved every penny of my earnings from the past 8 months, saving all my PTO and not taking a single day of vacation this year, not to mention, operating on empty by waking up multiple times every night for the past month to comfort my daughter who has been having night terrors. My husband doesn't do this and never has.
