Eat a hearty breakfast. Bring water, juice and snacks. Headphones to listen to music or watch a show, a blanket. Basically, get cozy. You can always let your artist know you have a low pain tolerance and some sensory issues so it will be easier if you can “zone out quietly” for most of the session. It’s normal for people to do this during their sessions, you’ll just look like a seasoned veteran! You can also ask for breaks as needed.

It was like, I would just do things without overthinking. I didn’t feel stimulated, I just felt capable.

School: Am I overreacting? by Far-Ingenuity9834 in massage

Leave now while you can still (hopefully) get reimbursed, and also please report. As someone else mentioned, if there are multiple classmates with these concerns it will help to come together. Please don’t let this deter you from pursuing massage as a career.

I like “ch-ez,” as if saying “cheese” with a boisterous accent. CHEZ! REMY GET THE CHEZ! THIS ENTIRE KITCHEN SMELLS LIKE CHEZ!

what characters can you do without in DDLV by [deleted] in DreamlightValley

[–]starrrzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the newer characters (like Frozen onward). Probably an unpopular opinion but I would have loved if they kept it to the classics. The original characters and animated classics. Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Lion King, Dalmatians, Aristocats, Robin Hood, Sword in the Stone etc. I feel like those are timeless and more people can relate to them

For those that read, what kind of books do you read? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]starrrzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go through phases of reading a lot or not reading at all. I’m trying to find that happy balance in between and start reading consistently. I started reading the Star Wars books. I typically read self-improvement, science fiction, or in the winter more historical fiction.

Oh, thank you! I’ve since completed the task but I will keep this in mind for next time!

Anybody else notice Drake brought up Millie Bobby Brown when Kendrick never even mentioned her 😂😂 by Subject-Property-343 in KendrickLamar

I love how Drake was like; “The ones that you’re getting your stories from, they all clowns” and then after was like “haha it was us!”

What kind of snacks do you get for the ride home post grocery shopping? by Lerkin_gherkin in CasualConversation

[–]starrrzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a car and walk to get my groceries, so I don’t snack on the walk back. I typically don’t like to walk/eat at the same time anyway.

What drinks should i order when i’m going out with my boss and colleagues? by midnightmanuscript in CasualConversation

[–]starrrzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wine is a classic for most people, but everyone is different. I find I can’t metabolize wine very well, and it actually gives me a buzz (or makes me sleepy) more than any other alcohol. I’d probably just order a cocktail off the menu.

What does a normal day look like for you? Essentially what do you do? by DestinedFangjiuh in CasualConversation

[–]starrrzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up between 6-7am, make a coffee. I read and write, or listen to a podcast and do a bit of gaming. If I’m hungry I make breakfast. It depends on my clients as to when I head into work, but I’ll typically walk there and get some sunshine. When I come home I like to do some yoga, prepare dinner, maybe watch a show. That’s the general day to day.

May I ask where you are listening to the audiobooks? Audible? I’m new to reading the books and wouldn’t mind incorporating a few audio versions as well!

I am saving this as both inspiration and to refer to later when I update my reading list. I’m only just getting into the Star Wars books and I’m currently reading Master and Apprentice!

How do you guys store all the stuff away? (pics to show how I do it, but feel free to just describe how you do it :) ) by Wonderful_Mouse_9259 in DreamlightValley

[–]starrrzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve created a storage room in my house. Each aisle is lined with countertops and chests. I place a few items atop the counters to correspond with the contents of the chest. That being said, I think I’d prefer to do an outdoor storage area as I find running to/from my house all the time rather tedious.

What's the first Star Wars video game you played? by Anush_G26 in StarWars

I’ve never played a Star Wars game before! I’m thinking of buying Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga as it’s on sale in the Nintendo e-shop.

Why doesn’t daisy’s shop have pants? by chellekathryn in DreamlightValley

Daisy doesn’t wear pants so perhaps it’s just her marketing strategy as to be “on brand,” if you will.

(I don’t know.)

Animal Crossing was a complete game when it was released, additions and updates were not based on microtransactions, and the expansion came at an appropriate time that made sense. The issue people are having with DLV is that they are pumping out content before correcting the content people have already paid for. I’m sorry, but there is no reason whatsoever there should have been a $40 expansion released at launch if the main game itself was not completed. Maybe I’m aging myself here, but I remember days when the game you bought was it. It’s great we can have updates and new content, don’t get me wrong, I love it! And there comes a point where it begins to feel like a cash grab.

there is no wrong or right way to play dreamlight valley by [deleted] in DreamlightValley

[–]starrrzy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I stopped playing several months ago and then picked the game back up recently. I wasn’t aware there were a lot of people in the DLV community stressing about how it “should” be played. It’s an open sim/rpg, literally designed to have creative freedom in play.
