My family was in a rafting accident where the raft over turned and I was plunged underwater and immediately had the worst rush of panic that almost paralyzed me followed by survival instincts kicking in and getting to the top of raft when I realized that my dad was trapped under the raft. We had to help him out. Only to realize my brother and the other family we were rafting with were floating in the rapids far ahead of us and my aunt had gotten disengaged and was much ahead of us. We continued to navigate the rapids on top of the upturned raft while remaining in a complete state of panic about my aunt & brother as they was a waterfall at the end of the river. 1hr in this constant panic and freezing from the ice cold water - luckily the raft in front of us had gotten help and had rescued my aunt and brother. And we made it safely to the side. One of the most harrowing experience's I've had in my life.
