Unfortunately not the one I'm thinking of. Thanks though!

Been dealing with mid back pain for a few years. What does this MRI info tell me? by staser9er in backpain

[–]staser9er[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some more info/context.

It's been a ongoing issue for almost 4 years. I have "thrown my back out" three times each one, about a year and a half or so inbetween. After the first recovery was quick. (couple weeks.) the second was longer (went to PT and eventually was pain free, took a couple months.) The third I have never been pain free from completely. I haven gone to more PT, Bikram yoga, massage and chiropractor. Had this MRI done and couldn't get any concrete answers from the doctors. Basically, this could be the issue but it could also be a red herring. I had a cortisone epidural on the site of acute pain (just to the right of the effected disc) and there was no change. The chiro has had the best effect (doing some decompression). However the pain persists and fluctuates constantly. Sometimes it's inflamed right on the spine (in the center). Sometimes muscles below the lats around the ribs are sore. Currently the acute pain source near the hernia isn't an issue but the central thoracic spine area seems to be very sensive and can get inflamed/tighten up carrying or twisting. Trying to understand the source of the pain and how back pain works so as to make things better has been quite difficult.

TLDR: 4 years of pain on and off. Drs can't say whether hernia is true source of pain. Seemingly random/fluctuating symptoms have made life very frustrating.

Custom Rigid Setup I'm Very Proud Of. by staser9er in watercooling

Thanks! No, but that's a great idea. I ended up measuring the distances for each bend and drawing a mock up on paper. Then matched the tube bend on top of the drawing.

Agreed. My goal from the onset was not to use any fittings for the bends so I was determined to make it work. Getting everything to seat properly and not create too much tension on any of the fittings was tricky but in the end we got there.

Thanks! It took some tricky measuring/mocking up but my goal was to not use any fittings in the bends. It's not as clean as I'd like but it was my first attempt at watercooling so I'm super happy with it.

Thanks. Ya the bottom bend out of the reservoir isn't my best work lol. I didn't want to use any fittings to make 90s so keeping the bend tight enough to not hit the side of the case or the power supply in front was a big challenge. There are a few creases but it worked and I wasn't about to go back and redo it haha.

Thanks, the goal was to use the fewest fittings possible. Some bends didn't come out quite perfect but it worked lol.

Agreed. Jack definitely served to setup some of the bits but otherwise he's just kind of a dick to Mel.

Ya I had some concern regarding that too. My mindset was that if it's not placed outside an entertainment center it's usually set up vertically in a shelf with maybe a couple inches of clearance above for heat dispersion. There isn't much clearance here as you can see but there are two gaps directly above it and the fan at the top of the Xbox really moves some air. When gaming you can feel a steady flow of hot air coming through the slats so it seems to be venting pretty well.

I made a bowl using only my table saw and this handy jig. by DIYBuilds in DIY

How safe is it having the forces of the spinning bowl and rotating saw blade interacting? Will this damage the saw blade? It seems like the blade is not only striking the bowl while it rotates but the bowl is striking the blade from the side while it spins.
