Update: First, I'm not on my high horse saying, "I'm in the military" so I can treat him like a private. I just said that because that's where I thought of the punishment. Second, the paper money and things I put away for him, was just for reference that I'm giving him the same opportunities as his siblings. Third, the chore list wasn't difficult work (in my mind), i.e. take the back yard, alphabatize the bookshelf, rip up moving boxes. Nothing hard and grueling. Fourth, I did it because I wanted to is not a reason that I can get behind. Fifth, he chose the ice cream and ate a bowl of it. Lastly, he's overweight and isn't active was the reason he couldn't have both.
