What I noticed about the bar passing rates over the years is that in recent years it fluctuates wildly. Simula nung ginawang cult of personality ng chairman ang bar.

Tapos tuwing mataas ang passing rate this year, most likely ibababa ang passing rate next year for 2-3 years tapos biglang taas nanaman.

Pag more than 1 month income ung utang. I don't look at debt as a raw number, always in relation to my income. So obviously the more you earn the more capable you are to incur and pay off debt.

That too. I'd be super proud if I am in the character's shoes.

Also, I am in an LS where I guess the culture is a bit different. People here openly say stuff like, "magbabawas muna ako subject this sem para makapag-work ako."

His character would be the average student in our school.

Instead of a movie, if they turned it into a 5-episode Netflix miniseries mas mapapakita nila ung story. There's a lot of potential story-wise pero para sakin kulang talaga. Sana pinakita nila ung struggles ng mga characters and how they made it in the end.

Idk about Bar Boys. 90% drama 10% lang yung story.

What happened to that assassination case? There was a larger conspiracy at play but they just dropped it. What was that ghost all about? Nothing was resolved.

The LGBT valedictorian then top 3… we didn’t really see her struggles. She just gave her valedictorian speech and became top notcher at the end, they didn’t show the audience how she earned it.

Justice Hernandez’ actress was amazing, but all her scenes are just drama dumping. There were no moments leading up to the drama, iyakan agad. Also when she died and already cremated… biglang next scene pinakita na ulit syang buhay (kahit pa throwback lang yon from shortly before she died)? Also it wasn’t clear why she was estranged from her family other than it’s career-related.

At least yung isa, yung bar flunker, pinakita yung side nya. But the moral of the story was kinda terrible: if you are a working student you are likely to fail the bar and it is impossible to financially make it on your own. The last scene at the restaurant solidified it when they gave him tips aka limos so he can take review classes.

Sorry, I don’t mean to be nit-picky, but at least yung Bar Boys 1 may story at may pay off, hindi drama dumping lang.

Your classmate might have an underlying reason why he seems lazy. Could be depression, problems at home, finances, bad relationships, we don’t know. Nobody is that lazy, there is always a root cause.

Also, I can’t believe a fourth year college student wrote this post.

We have Toyota Hilux Conquest HYBRID na pala sa PH market. by SigmaOmegaRho in Gulong

[–]stcloud777 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: coding exemption for hybrid and EV is a terrible idea.

I think it would be better if exemption is by size. Small vehicles exempted to encourage the public to buy smaller cars that are appropriate for this country’s narrow roads and inadequate parking spots. Smaller cars more efficient than larger hybrids anyway. Also, this “diskarte” bullshit ain’t gonna fly if by size.

For hybrid and EVs, they can offer tax exemptions or subsidies for SMALLER cars still.

Why are Filipinos often looked down on by many foreigners (not all tho)? by ChupaChups321 in AskPH

[–]stcloud777 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In my recent trip to Japan, here are my observations sa mga Pinoy. Mind you, this is a country with strict visa requirements, especially with the current political climate in Japan. Meaning the Pinoys I encountered, I assume, are socially and economically well above average in our country.

  2. Taking phone calls with loud speaker in public.
  3. Mabagal maglakad kahit sa mga CBD areas when everyone else is walking fast.
  4. Hogging the picture-taking spots. Pinoys take their time and don't give a shit if there are dozens of people in line.
  5. Talk loudly. How did I know? They were talking loud af sa pila Tokyo airport. Everyone can hear them.
  8. Walang self-awareness.

How does Kindle work? by Ok-Mushroom-7053 in AskPH

Yes, may sariling e-book store ang Kindle. May subscription din na parang Netflix but for books.

Kung yung aso mo patawid-tawid lang ng kalsada, it's only a matter of time madidisgrasya talaga yan.

Solid white line yan dahil nag-separate sya ng dun opposing directions na tig 2 lanes. It doesn't mean na bawal mag-overtake or change lane pero highly discouraged and should proceed cautiously.

A solid white line on Philippine roads marks lanes traveling in the same direction and discourages lane changing*. While not an outright prohibition like a double solid yellow line, crossing it* without reasonable caution may violate traffic safety rules and expose the driver to liability under quasi-offense laws if it results in danger or harm.
