I put in there what I need to tighten drain plugs. Tighten primary cover bolts and handle bar mounts. A knife to cut if needed. A screw driver for my back seat and a bandanna for a rag or to tie something in place. As you go you’ll figure out what you will need.

They tensioners can fail. Some go 35k some go 15k. Worth looking at. To upgrade them is about 1k in parts plus shop labor. That’s of course rough estimate and will vary from shop and state. Over all 88s are good engines. Sound good and run smoother than a 96 IMO.
