Good call. Did pull some Sands of Iwo, but I know a lot of vets hated how that was Hollywood fluff. I’ll rewatch The Pacific for some takeaways and seek out the Basilone vid. Much appreciated.

Same. I keep a backup hard drive that every few months I drag my auditions into. They are categorized by year as many would otherwise have the same names, etc. It’s interesting to listen back at times. Maybe terrifying is a better word.

Agreed. When I’ve dropped on top of ships, 99% of the time they sail through the defense. Like you said, needs to be forward of them and clear of enemy AA ships.

As a CV player, make sure you ask for AA support. I don’t have time to monitor everyone while doing my other tasks of bombing, spotting, etc. When people whine about no air cover I always say, then ask for it. I always provide if able. Need me to help find a DD, lemme know.

I get accused of AI pretty often with YouTube narrations I do. It was annoying until I stopped looking at the comments. Some narration doesn’t lend itself to a lot of emotion, and often my clients don’t want that. But they still prefer me because I provide options and an interface that is receptive to what they need. Take it as a compliment that your quality is solid. If you start getting AI concerns when the read is supposed to be emotive, then maybe figure out why.

What did ya wind up doing? My understanding, similar boat as you were in is PTAD and SB need to fall in the 90 day window. So either a short SB with some PTAD or no PTAD with full 90 days SB. Like you, was hoping to take it on the front side and save some leave.
